List of European records in athletics

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

European records in the sport of athletics are ratified by the European Athletic Association. Records are kept for all events contested at the Olympic Games and some others. Unofficial records for some other events are kept by track and field statisticians. Records are kept for events in track and field, road running, and racewalking.

Jakob Ingebrigtsen holds the two mile world best and 2000m world record, along with the 1,500m, mile and 3,000m European records.
Sergey Bubka's world and European records in pole vault have dominated the sport, marking him as one of the world's best athletes.
Jonathan Edwards broke the triple jump world record three times.
Marcell Jacobs set the European record in the 100 metres winning the gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
