Indonesia flood dates

@Daniel boxs: Where did you find the dates? None of the three sources listed had exact dates (and neither does the article), so I am curious where you found the dates for the floods? Elijahandskip (talk) 13:18, 10 January 2022 (UTC)

Pakistan blizzard end date

@United States Man: In one of your edits, you removed the parenthesis around January 8 for the dissipation of the Pakistan blizzard. The article still says ongoing, so where did you find that the storm had dissipated on the 8th? Elijahandskip (talk) 23:39, 18 January 2022 (UTC)

What was the reasoning behind having parentheses around the 8? That makes no sense and looks bad. I also fixed all those blue walls of links, and only made specific words point to those articles instead of entire phrases. United States Man (talk) 00:14, 19 January 2022 (UTC)

You removed the reason why, so you should know. Lol. But we don't know if that date is accurate, so instead of having a blank spot, we put the date in parenthesis with a note letting people know about it. Also those "walls of blue text" is how the timelines have been since they were created in early December 2021. I even asked other editors if the timelines looked good and they said yes. I don't know who other editors are, but other pages on Wikipedia are not formatted like that. Also, December 2021 is hardly enough time to set precedent on anything. I can help you make this better with the formatting and such if you let me, although I'm still not sure these articles meet notability guidelines anyway. Removing the Fatalities section

When the article was just starting, I had begun improving the "weather by year" articles and I wanted to test an experiment about having a fatalities chart by country and by month. The idea was similar to the Tropical cyclones in 2022 charts worked, counting the fatalities into totals. The problem arose when it is not constantly updated, which has led to multiple inconsistencies with the charts compared to the timelines. These problems are not just when numbers keep changing, but also as editors add entries, some numbers might get off-set. The idea was good, but as of this point, there is no clear way to maintain it, so I am proposing to remove the entire section. Elijahandskip (talk) 00:55, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

Sort of calling it all for now. Too difficult for me to maintain both charts. If anything, the by month would be easier to maintain accuracy, since the timeline is already broken up by months. Concern with the use of NCEI data

NCEI limits you to 500 entries, and in some cases that fills up the first DAY of the month. I strongly suggest we remove them. (P.S. I tried to add them for October and discovered this issue.) 75.99.68.66 (talk) 18:12, 25 January 2023 (UTC)

We cannot remove the use of the NCEI Storm Event Database as that is considered the official source for United States meteorological event information. You can limit it to a specific day and/or specific event. Elijahandskip (talk) 18:14, 25 January 2023 (UTC)

Empty section

It isn’t empty at all. It is filled by Template:Deadliest meteorological events in 2022 & Template:Deadliest U.S. meteorological events in 2022. Both templates are collapsed, so you have to click the “[Show]” button on the right side of the template banners. It is similar to the Tornado records#Lists of damage and fatality records section which only also has templates that are collapsed. Elijahandskip (talk) 14:14, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
