What's up with removing the bit about the Matrix? You didn't say why. --Yar Kramer 17:06, 20 August 2005 (UTC)
To all members of The Specialists message board who are making some of the edits in the SMG section: Please stop it. This is something that should not be done here. Especially since no one will know who this "Stinkey" person is. If he's annoyed that the MAC-10 was removed, please don't put it here. Thanks. TonicBH 21:04, 27 September 2005 (UTC)
Rant directed towards TSRP servers
[edit]Stop fucking putting your shitty servers in. If one more idiotic community, such as zackcity(which is generally seen as one of the poorest RP servers of the ages,) decides to put their name as "the only truly notable community," or in any way attempts to edit my verse to note down their server, I will report you as a wikivandal.
yeah any form of role playing should be frowned upon in fps communities next they will want to vote and drive and stuff :S silly rp'ers D: < stick to your mmo's!
^ What's with that comment? Xalphox is saying not to put in bullshit about their servers not ranting about TSRP
Notices
[edit]I removed the latest revision, it was spam saying "niggerniggerniggernigger." Xalphox (talk) 12:33, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Statuses
[edit]A part about all the statuses like Killer, Demolition, and Specialist should be added.
Added said section. Weedwacker 21:00, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
Player-created non-official maps
[edit]Removed this comment, this was ENTIRELY an advertisement for his own game levels.
Community Resources
[edit]Perhaps modelpost.org, Nupo.org, SpecialistsZone and SpecialistsCentral should be noted, along with the forum community.
This is directed to whomever wrote the above sentence, I don't know how informed you are, but SpecialistsCentral has been down over a year and a half, Nupo has been down for months due to attacks on the website, and SpecialistsZone is also gone. However, Modelpost.org should be mentioned. ( Modelpost's closed, http://modifi.net/ ) --Weedwacker 15:51, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
References
[edit]- I would like to see some sources for this article. As all editors should know, all material on Wikipedia must meet verifiability requirements with reliable sources. If no one can address this, I will nominate this article for deletion. Wickethewok 05:07, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

Game guide content
[edit]- I'm removing game guide content, as Wikipedia is not a game guide. Wickethewok 17:58, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
How could you be such whore?
Additional info
[edit]This article lacks the following information:
- List of weapons
- List of attachments
- List of official maps
- Description of melee system [kung fu, katana, gun fu]
Much of this was removed previously due to being considered game guide content. However, a simple listing which is solely descriptive and lacks advice on usage should not be considered game guide content.
im surprised nobody included anything on boosting in the stunt guide; apparently its alive and kicking in 3.0
Stop that 'unofficial gametype' crap.
[edit]It doesn't matter if TSRP is an unofficial 'gametype'. A lot of people play it that way. The text of that section clearly says that it's not supported by the TS team, and that's all that's needed. Stop putting "unofficial gametype" in the section header. I really don't like TSRP myself but I'm not going to impose my personal opinions on this article, and you're clearly POVing it. --Victor 06:00, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
- I added comments to the article. Stop blanking the section, it is pushing a point of view, and this article isn't a promotional ad for The Specialists. The fact is that there are a lot of people who play the game that way, and deleting the section because the TS team doesn't support it is clearly pushing POV. This article isn't meant to favor the wishes of the development team. Sorry. --Victor 16:17, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

- TSRP is not acceptable in the Wikipedia article. The role-play bastardization of the game is as unique to TS as it is to Counter-Strike, Half-life (even more so: see Master Sword Continued), Magic the Gathering, or checkers. Keep in-game community information on your respective forums, and not flooding half the official Wikipedia article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.164.0.240 (talk) 21:42, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- It is unreasonable and a legal risk to relate what appears to be official 'The Specialists Mod' information with a single players' role-play addon which is responsible for large-scale distribution illegal/pirate content. Infact, the entire section of role-play is officially unsupported and officially discouraged. Do not revert the removal of 'Role-Play.' —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.105.116.178 (talk) 22:09, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- Says WHO? The fact that it's been blanked by some random IPer who does not SIGN their arguements and has no references to this stance the developers allegedly have reeks of people who just have a problem with the game style. It IS a significant footnote and not including it in any capacity is an indication that Wikipedia fails as an actual online encyclopedia. 24.181.48.246 17:46, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- It's perfectly acceptable for TSRP to be on this page, if for no other reason than the fact that it is the single most played gamemode for The Specialists. This is Wikipedia, not specialistsmod.net. Responsable for large-scale distribution of illegal/pirate content my ass, how'd you come up with that correlation? Suggestions For RP Section
[edit]Guys, I think that unless there's some sort of way to make the RP section more... encyclopedic, then I think it should be removed. There has to be some way to make it seem less like an advertisement for a bunch of different RP servers, and not like it was typed by a twelve year old. Plus, there's more there about RP than there is about the actual game. TSRP IS NOT TS, and therefore should only have a small mention. You shouldn't explain what DM is in TSRP, this isn't a TSRP article... it's a TS article. Cissel (talk) 09:07, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Xalphox (talk) 19:59, 13 January 2008 (UTC):
Agreed.
- The Specialists Roleplay == The Specialists. Even if players of normal TS gamemodes hate TSRP players to death and vice versa, they still exist under the same half-life mod. However, I will agree the whole TSRP segement was horribly butchered, and needs to be redone. SaderBiscut (talk) 05:57, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Remove it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.244.125.219 (talk) 11:31, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
'Plagued by TSRP'
[edit]Removed a part by an anonymous person saying TS was "plagued by a fifth, unofficial gametype, Role-playing". -Vincetti (talk) 06:51, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
Sources
[edit]TGMOnline, as raised in the AfD, appears to be a substantial source in a reliable publications. I want to see more than one source. There's a low-grade interview at ModDB[1]. If there's really nothing more than this, we might want to consider redirecting to, and summarizing, at List of GoldSrc engine mods instead. Marasmusine (talk) 21:42, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
