The result of the move request was: moved. Been listed for over two weeks and no one has actually opposed. Jenks24 (talk) 13:51, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
Grisaia no Kajitsu → Le Fruit de la Grisaia – This is the name given by the licensor of the upcoming anime adaptation. There's precedent for this happening: there is the visual novel Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate whose article is at Love, Elections & Chocolate as this is its anime's localized name, and thus its most commonly used English name. However, as the original visual novel has not (and will probably never) be localized, and the fact that the visual novel is the original, whether or not this kind of move is actually allowed is kind of tricky. Thus, rather than moving this myself, I'm starting a discussion to see what the title of this article should be. --Relisted. - Grisaia no Kajitsu is called as Le Fruit de la Grisaia in Anime News Network. --ひなどり(Hinadori) 13:54, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
- Sorry about that, fixed. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 14:17, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
- If Grisaia no Kajitsu is moved to Le Fruit de la Grisaia, what should we do about DEFAULTSORT? ({{DEFAULTSORT:Grisaia no Kajitsu}} or {{DEFAULTSORT:Fruit de la Grisaia}}[1]?) --ひなどり(Hinadori) 17:29, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
- I prefer the original title in circumstances like this. That isn't an oppose, since I'm sure it will get moved once it starts airing without the aid of a RM. —Xezbeth (talk) 08:38, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

Capitalization on "de la"
[edit]There seems to be a bit of inconsistency in the title's use of capitalization. Originally, before this page was even moved, the romanized title was written out as Grisaia no Kajitsu: Le Fruit De La Grisaia. After the move, the "De La" were made lowercase, seemingly in accordance with French grammar. However the original title was "グリザイアの果実 -LE FRUIT DE LA GRISAIA-", in all caps. My main point is wondering which is correct (as far as the actual title is concerned, not the French grammar), and if the answer is the lowercase, should the names of the sequels in the "Release history" section be changed as well? Anime ending theme
[edit]After watching the second episode, I can guarantee that despite what ANN says, the ending theme is certainly not this "Anata no Aishita Sekai". It's "Eden's Song" by Hana, which is used as the opening to Prologue de la Grisaia, a background story included in the third game, Grisaia no Rakuen. The original video opening with that song can be found here, along with the fact that it says "Eden's Song" over the second episode's end credits. If this continues into the third episode, this is going to need to be reflected in the Music section of the article, but currently there's no source beyond the animation itself. - According to the Japanese wiki page, "Anata no Aishita Sekai" didn't appear in episodes 1 or 2, but will be used as the main ending theme; "Eden's Song" was just used for episode 2.--十八 20:41, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Expansion into multiple articles
[edit]Okay so this probably should have happened a long time ago, but now that the second game and two different spin-offs have been released in English.... it's high time this franchise takes to more than one article. The fact that the second and third games still are only mentioned in one section is a tad ridiculous when they've all been out for a number of years at least somewhere in the world. Schiffy (Speak to me|What I've done) 20:59, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
- Is there really a reason to create the other articles? It's not like there would be that much content on them, and we shouldn't unnecessarily create stub articles for no reason.--十八 21:09, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
- Numerous franchises have full detailed articles on multiple games in the series. Perhaps the spin-offs are not as important, but there are three full games here. The second and third are rated by the "Visual Novel Database" at being over 20 hours of gameplay each. This article is about the first game, not the franchise. To only mention the later games in the "Release History" section in an article on the first is.... downright ludicrous. Schiffy (Speak to me|What I've done) 21:21, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
- Other franchises are not the issue here. The issue is whether there is enough available content from reliable sources to justify creating additional articles. And that means real-world content, not plot or characters. Is there even development info other than just the staff for the games? What about game reviews? Besides, the gameplay from the three games is pretty much identical, and there's already the obvious plot/character overlap. And this article isn't even big enough to justify splitting because of WP:SIZERULE: < 40 kB Length alone does not justify division. My suggestions would be to try to expand this article with info from the other games and then if size becomes an issue, we can consider splitting, but needlessly creating stub articles that are largely repetitive to boot doesn't help anyone.--十八 21:57, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
- As I've said, the problem partly lies in "adding more to this article". This article is named for the first game. Why should it be covered with content on the sequels? The sequels aren't called The Fruit of Grisaia. That name is reserved for the first game and the first game alone. This is the same for the anime. The 47-minute special and the second season are named after the second and third games, respectively. So for each title, there is at least one game and one anime adaptation.
- The sequels are over four years old. I'm sure reviews exist in Japan, and it's only a matter of time before they start coming out in English. Staff and development info for all three games is numerous and not always identical. Obviously the gameplay is identical. It's a Visual Novel, not a J-RPG with new mechanics with each title. I don't see how that discredits my point.
- The only other thing I could possibly imagine is yet another rename, this time to "Grisaia (series)", Because, as I've been stressing, the second and third games have entirely different names and should not be considered as sharing the same full name as the first. Bumping this topic because it seems to have gone a month without any response. I should also note that our friends at the Japanese version of Wikipedia have the right idea. They have one article named "Grisaia series" instead of the mess that we have here - i.e. an article named after only the first game that seems to be covering everything. Schiffy (Speak to me|What I've done) 04:14, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
- That would be adequate (similar to Monogatari (series)), but as I can see from the Japanese wiki page, they don't have articles for the separate games, either, so I still don't think we should do that.--十八 21:20, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
- I'm backing down on that front and ultimately agreeing with you about the split not being a good idea, but I definitely do think we should go the "(series)" route, again because the current article name is not the name of the other games. This rename could also pave the way for more detailed sections on the spinoff (the Magical Girl Michiru game) and the three side stories (Leisure, Afterglow, Melody) that came out with the anime's DVDs. Duplicated character.
[edit]In the section discussing secondary characters, the character Kazuki Kazami has 2 separate sections. The information presented in both of these is similar but not identical so I am loathe to make any change but it seems that one of them should be removed (or possibly both and a single section written to replace.2A02:C7F:741D:7F00:4E2:E661:A291:27B6 (talk) 01:09, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
