Missing info about controversy
[edit]While it's mentioned in the article that Nemlei discontinued their online presence, it's not explained why, neither under "development" nor under "reception". This article is rightly marked as controversial, so I wanted to check in with the authors if there's any reason why the online controversy that brought Nemlei to quit the internet altogether is never mentioned. I believe this is an important addition since for many people it's the main reason why they learn about the game in the first place.
For what it's worth, I'd be happy to contribute what I hope is a fair summary. Just checking in to see if it's been discussed before and/or purposefully avoided. Sonovawolf (talk) 05:38, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- I added some greater detail about it in early revisions of the article, but they were removed because of (if I remember correctly) the lacking quality of the sources available, and honestly I think I'm fine with that. I'd rather the article say little to nothing on the specifics of the controversy, than say something potentially misleading or even mistaken, especially when it's about something sensitive like this that concerns the private life of a living person (and also has the potential to fuel edit wars). If you know of any better sources that discuss the controversy in more detail then you're welcome to add them. silviaASH (inquire within) 06:38, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
