Sonic Triple Trouble = Sonic & Tails 2

[edit]

I don't know why the "2" was dropped in the trivia section but Sonic Triple Trouble was definitely called Sonic & Tails 2 in Japan. Don't confuse this with Sonic Chaos. The trivia bit is explicitly about Sonic Triple Trouble here. --Steerpike 19:43, 7 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind. I read it wrong. My mistake. --Steerpike 20:32, 7 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Differences between versions

[edit]

Should the differences between the Master System version, the Japanese GameGear and the English GameGear versions be documented like different music, level title cards and other miscallany?

E.g. Some music tracks in the Master System version are different such as the Intro and Gigalopolis. Yawachary 22:38, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dr. Eggman -> Dr. Robotnik

[edit]

I've changed the name Dr. Eggman to Dr. Robotnik. I've done this as as far as I know, Dr Robotnik was the name more prevalent in the world at that time, and this is the English version of Wikipedia, so I'll go with the English name. Someone feel free to change back if they think its warranted. Mouse Nightshirt 17:54, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Main series

[edit]

I heard by a friend from school that this story leads up to Sonic spinball —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sonicrules2 (talkcontribs) 02:04, 11 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Comments

  • Why isn't the article called "Sonic the Hedgehog Chaos" per the lead and the infobox?
  • "Robotnik, who has" no comma.
    • Removed
  • Lead "Aspect Co." infobox "Aspect".
    • Aspect (video game company) redirects to Aspect Co., but since they're linked as "Aspect Co." later in the page, it should be consistent.
  • Link handheld.
    • Done
  • Link port.
    • Done
  • "an already-existing" already- adds nothing.
    • Removed
  • "had a far better grasp" better than who or what?
    • The sentence says they had a better idea on how to design the game. Seems pretty clear to me.
  • "in recent years it has gained a more average" do you mean a few years after release or recent as in 2018 (for example)?
    • Changed to say "retrospective"
  • Shima & Mikusa not referenced or mentioned in the article.
  • If File:GGSonicChaosSE.png is replaceable per the fair use criteria noted, it should be replaced.
    • Changed to not replaceable.
  • "ingame" is that even a word?
    • "in-game" is fine, which I've changed it to
  • "power-up" link.
    • Done
  • Gameplay section is completely unreferenced.
    • What an absolutely egregious error on my end. Added proper citations.
  • "'where completing it will" -> "which, if completed, will..."
    • Fixed. It does look better that way.
  • "the best ending" are there multiple endings?
    • Yeah, there's multiple endings that are based on the amount of Chaos Emeralds collected. This was something I forgot to mention. Added.
  • ""version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and" overlinked.
  • "had a better idea" than who?
    • Changed to "grasp" since that's what the lead uses
  • "as a unique playable" unique?
    • Tails was technically playable in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, though Sonic Chaos is the first time he is a fully-playable character with his own unique abilities. Reworded for clarity.
  • "release of Sonic CD.[4][6]" overlinked.
    • Removed link
  • "digitally-released" no need to hyphenate.
    • Removed hyphen
  • "Chaos is also included" was.
    • The Game Gear Micro is still available for purchase, so there are still ways of playing this version of the game. Had it either been discontinued or it no longer exists, saying it "was" included would be appropriate.
  • Link 16-bit first time.
    • Done
  • "for Sonic Mega Collection Plus," overlinked.
    • Don't remember linking this again. Fixed

That's it, on hold. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 13:29, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, no worries, it looks fine now, so promoting. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 07:23, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Development

[edit]

An early prototype of the game is referred to as "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" internally. Should that detail be included in the development section? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Murphmario (talkcontribs) 21:14, 3 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
