[edit]Why does the article not mention the White House petition? https://www.change.org/petitions/electronic-arts-inc-remove-always-online-drm-from-simcity-and-future-games — Preceding unsigned comment added by BlitzGreg (talk • contribs) 11:46, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
- Its not a White House petition. Its a change.org petition. The only articles that cover it say that it exists, and little else. - X201 (talk) 16:57, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
- I am terribly sorry I see now I made a mistake, I did not check that citation, I did not realize it was a separate petition on Charge.org, I thought that was an article about the White House Petition. You are still incorrect as well though because there was the White House petition which gained much more notoriety which is the one I intended to cite, my apologies.
- And it is worth mentioning and does have reliable sources, one very prominent being NBC News.

- I don't particularly understand why you mentioned the source was not reliable in your undo comments however, because Change.org is still a reliable source, you could have said an incorrect or misleading source, which is why I don't understand your particular use of such vocabulary.
- To summarize, I was merely trying to give a better structure to the controversy, which is something that can be further discussed here. However, is it ok for me to go ahead and add the NBC citation with the White House petition information back? BlitzGreg (talk) 18:49, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
- When I said "is hardly covered by reliable sources apart from acknowledging its existence" I was referring to the fact that my quick search for reliable sources turned up nothing of note, apart from a couple of articles that basically said "there's a petition" and then didn't elaborate on it. I have no objections to the NBC source/petition info. - X201 (talk) 09:13, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
- Ok then well I will simply readd that one piece to the existing section! BlitzGreg (talk) 11:58, 12 January 2014 (UTC)

- Is it really DRM or customer surveillance? These companies have a solid database of where and when named users are on the computer ... that's got to be worth something to the right people. Who do they sell it to? Wnt (talk) 10:32, 15 April 2016 (UTC)
