I always assumed the name Prince Sidon was inspired by the name Poseidon, Greek god of the sea. Both being erm... powerful water beings. But it is only a presumption. Is there any direct source discussing this or secondary source suggesting the idea?
Also... It's been a while since I played the game, I cannot remember the cut scenes directly. I always presumed the name is pronounced SY-DON like from Poseidon. But I've also seen SEE-DON suggested as closer to the original Japanese names. Which is it? is it different in different language versions? Carlwev 06:20, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Carlwev You are probably right about the connection with Poseidon however I can find no sources that state this. It is not mentioned in the development notes for Sidon in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Creating a Champion or in any sources so it cannot be included in the article. The pronunciation is SYDon as in "eye" - it is pronounced by Mipha in a cutscene for The Champion's Ballad. Fieryninja (talk) 06:46, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
