Gradius retrofit
[edit]Didn't Scramble recently get retrofitted into the Gradius series lineage by Konami? If anyone could confirm, it would make for an interesting addition. Student Driver (talk) 19:00, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- Check the edit history of the main article. I recall there being mention of such at one time, but it was later removed as questionable. If you have difficulty locating the relevant inclusion (and later removal) of this information, drop me a line, I can probably help relocate it. Whether it's notable is another matter. D. Fair use rationale for Image:Scramble 2.png
[edit]Image:Scramble 2.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Filling One's Fuel Tanks by Destroying Fuel Tank Targets - Was Scramble the First?
[edit]Throughout the 1980s, the seemingly counter-intuitive motif of gaining fuel by destroying fuel targets was very common. I wonder if, perhaps, "Scramble" was the first commercial arcade/video/computer game to introduce this concept? Its 1981 release date makes that seem likely. I've heard the claim that Activision's "River Raid" for the Atari 2600 was the first instance of this, but "River Raid" wasn't released until 1982. Does anyone know if "Scramble" was the first game to employ this notion? And better yet, do you have a source for that contention? I think that fact would be notable, if true, and would thus need to be mentioned in the article. I suspect it is true, but I do not know. KevinOKeeffe (talk) 13:54, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- Cosmic avenger was also released in 1981 and features hitting fuel tanks to increase fuel, same with the game Mars. --Marty Goldberg (talk) 23:33, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
MS-DOS
[edit]Was an official DOS conversion of this ever released? 2fort5r (talk) 00:36, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
- I don't believe so. Just clones. --Marty Goldberg (talk) 08:43, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
Konami Arcade Classics (PlayStation/PSOne)
[edit]Scramble exists in this collection of games. The aspect ratio is modified to fit a 4:3 conventional CRT TV. 76.122.221.218 (talk) 09:12, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
Proposed merge
[edit]I think coverage of Grandstand's dedicated version of the game should be merged into this one. My basic rationale is that the Grandstand version is nearly identical to Tomy's dedicated version and the Tomy version is covered here. While there may be some benefit to covering the specific details of the portable tabletop games separately from the console and arcade versions, these details might better fit into a subsection of the main Scramble article rather than existing as a small and poorly sourced stand-alone stub article. Any thoughts? -Thibbs (talk) 13:30, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
