Premiere date
[edit]I have found no source to support the July air date I have three sources here that all say the same that it premiered on April 5, 2010: TVGuide.com, under Cast & Details, Bing.com, and Msn.com. ^_^ Swifty*talk 06:13, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
Cast of Characters
[edit]The primary characters should be separated from one-off unmemorable ones (seriously, who is Dr. Thistle?). The current format is confusing as it suggest that a Gnome and the Green Humungonaut are part of the main cast of characters. That's just wrong. There's also a message in the source that reads "DO NOT ADD ANY OTHER CHARACTERS TO THIS SECTION UNLESS THEY ARE SUPPORTING CHARACTERS OR REOCCURRING CHARACTERS", so why are Greta Gator and the Cicada Creature in there? The one-off characters are neither supporting nor reoccurring, so either separate them with a table or remove them altogether.
Also, the length of the article does not change in the slightest, since the character count stays constant. And "looks horrible" is a subjective opinion, not an argument. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.99.73.5 (talk) 21:05, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
- Now there are no problems. The chart makes the article too long and does not need to be on the page. ^_^ Swifty*talk 21:50, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
a table is completely unnecessary and serves no other function but making the section more confusing.Caringtype1 (talk) 22:01, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
The section is for CAST, not characters, its supporting cast. That means the names listed are recurring VOICES, not necessarily recurring characters. That means if an actor plays a couple of characters in the series, even if they are one-off characters they should be listed.Caringtype1 (talk) 22:14, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
Theme song
[edit]Ive never seen Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, but is this song used on the show? Portillo (talk) 07:13, 13 December 2012 (UTC)
- No -- that is actually the song Wulfric von Rydingsvard performs at the end of Big Top Scooby-Doo!. The theme song used here is a different song altogether, and entirely instrumental -- no words here. This is the song used as the theme song on this show. - Thanks for your reply. Portillo (talk) 10:08, 10 May 2013 (UTC)
Genre
[edit]Someone decided to change the genre so that it read that it was rated R, had sexual content etc. I've changed it back to Animation, Mystery, Childrens TV Series Arogance1(talk) 16:28, 04 March 2013 (GMT) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.25.108.3 (talk)
Direct-to-video movies in continuity?
[edit]Do any of the direct-to-video movies take place in the SD!MI continuity? -Joltman (talk) 22:29, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
- I wouldn't think so, since none of them even mention the Planispheric Disk, and most have the gang traveling somewhere around the world, not stationed at/around Crystal Cove. Black Yoshi (Yoshi! | Yoshi's Eggs) 23:22, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
References for premiere date
[edit]Actually, those references appear twice in the article; the first time they appear, they're written out in whole, but the second time they appear, all that is seen is a <refname=incpremiere />, which is basically an abbreviated way to state the same reference more than once. Spanish version of this article

Not the First
[edit]This is not the first incarnation of Scooby Doo that had an over reaching plot. The first was The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.49.8.237 (talk) 19:38, 10 August 2013 (UTC)

Character/Cast section
[edit]First off, leaving the section empty except for a link to the character article is incredibly misleading, considering that said article is a list of all major characters from all Scooby-Doo incarnations, some of which either don't show up more than once or twice or as more than a cameo, and many of which don't appear in Mystery Inc. at all. Furthermore, looking back at the page history, the section was meant originally as a cast listing, not a character listing, so removing all the names entirely seems like a mistake. In my opinion, we should restore the cast listing and revert the section name back to Main/Primary Cast (with or without the link to the characters page, provided we make sure to include links to the characters' pages/sections as part of the cast listing), but limit it to those who appear often, are important to the series narrative, and actually have an entry on the character page. As with my original contribution, I think it should be locked down to the five present-day members of Mystery Inc., the five members from the old Mystery Inc. group, Sheriff Stone, Mayor Jones, Mayor Nettles, and Hot Dog Water. as they all play major roles in the story and appear in a significant number of episodes. It's harder to make an argument for infrequently-recurring legacy characters like Vincent Van Ghoul and the Hex Girls, but I leave that decision up to the other editors; the 14 I first mentioned are the only ones I think that need to be included. -- 68.37.227.226 (talk) 23:29, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
- Points noted. Here's what I think is reasonable: I'm not familiar with the series, but let's create Main characters and Recurring characters sections per normal MOS:TV guidelines. This would present characters in the following format:
- Velma Dinkley (voiced by Mindy Cohn)
- The Main characters section would contain the basic main characters, Fred and Scooby and all. We include {{main|List of Scooby-Doo characters}} in the character section.
- In the recurring characters section, we list noteworthy secondary characters (there are some at List of Scooby-Doo characters#Introduced in Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated.) We use {{main|List of Scooby-Doo characters#Introduced in Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated}} to link to the relevant section for noteworthy secondary characters.
- The reason why I'm pitching this, is because firstly, that's how a Character list should be ordered, where a Cast list would be: Mindy Cohn as Velma Dinkley. The second reason why I'm pitching this, is because in my experience, Cast lists tend to invite a lot of dubious cruft. Mindy Cohn as Velma Dinkley, Cop #3, Lady at vet's office, etc. Real world examples here. There's no reason why we can't have a bare-bones Character list in the article. The only other discussion appears to have taken place a couple of years ago. This should probably address most concerns. Thoughts? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 00:08, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- Seems reasonable. My proposed layout below:
Mystery Incorporated
[edit]- Fred Jones Jr. (voiced by Frank Welker) - 1 to 2 sentence character description
- Daphne Blake (voiced by Grey DeLisle) - 1 to 2 sentence character description
- Velma Dinkley (voiced by Mindy Cohn) - 1 to 2 sentence character description
- Norville "Shaggy" Rogers (voiced by Matthew Lillard) - 1 to 2 sentence character description
- Scooby-Doo (voiced by Frank Welker) - 1 to 2 sentence character description
The Original "Mystery Incorporated"
[edit]- Mr. E (Ricky Owens) (voiced by Lewis Black) - 1 to 2 sentence character description
- Angel Dynamite (Cassidy Williams) (voiced by Vivica A. Fox) - 1 to 2 sentence character description
- Professor Pericles (voiced by Udo Kier) - 1 to 2 sentence character description
- Brad Chiles and Judy Reeves (voiced by Tim Matheson and Tia Carrere) - 1 to 2 sentence character description
Supporting Characters
[edit]- Sheriff Bronson Stone (voiced by Patrick Warburton) - 1 to 2 sentence character description
- Mayor Fred Jones Sr. (voiced by Gary Cole) - 1 to 2 sentence character description
- Hot Dog Water (Marcie Fleach) (voiced by Linda Cardellini) - 1 to 2 sentence character description
- Mayor Janet Nettles (voiced by Kate Higgins) - 1 to 2 sentence character description
- Will this suffice? -- 68.37.227.226 (talk) 05:41, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- It's not clear to me if the "Original" Mystery incorporated characters are part of this series. Per MOS:TV it is preferable for there to be two sections, "Main characters" and "Recurring characters", so I think the Mystery Incorporated and The Original should probably be sub-headers of Main characters, and "Supporting characters" should be renamed "Recurring characters". (We use "Sentence case" for headers, not "Title Case"). I don't know that we need the descriptions if expanded descriptions for these charactres exist in another article, though maybe we do. I won't object to them. We might want to wait a bit to invite other opinions. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:11, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- For story context, the "original" Mystery Inc. were another gang of teen sleuths who were investigating mysteries many years before the Scooby gang would do so under the same name, two of them being Fred's birth parents. They're the primary antagonists of the story, which is why they're listed as a subheader under "Introduced in Mystery Inc" on the Characters page. I think they need to be similarly grouped on this page, perhaps as a subheader under "Supporting/Recurring characters". -- 68.37.227.226 (talk) 00:30, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

change "Daphne pines for a trap-obsessed Fred" to "Daphne pines for Fred who obsesses over making traps" or something else which doesn't run the risk of being confused for a derogatory term for transgender people Spookedlamp (talk) 21:00, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
