Recreated?

[edit]

So this template had been deleted in the past by Opabinia regalis. What;s the motivation for re-creating it? EvergreenFir (talk) Please {{re}} 04:27, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ghostbusters: Ecto Force

[edit]

Yes, it's gonna pemiere on Cartoon Network in the United States in 2018, but it's not a Cartoon Network original series. --SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy (talk) 18:19, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Warner Bros. Animation

[edit]

In this template must be included only and exclusively TV series from that company who have the "executive producers for Cartoon Network". --Luigi1090 (talk) 10:05, 3 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well, aren't they licensed Cartoon Network originals too? --SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy (talk) 03:47, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The Mr. Men Show, Pink Panther and Pals, and Annoying Orange

[edit]

These three TV series isn't co-productions, they're original programming and have "executive producers for Cartoon Network". --Luigi1090 (talk) 10:05, 3 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well, sometimes, just because they have "executive producers for Cartoon Network" doesn't mean they're original programming. And if you don't think all three are co-productions, then only one is, and that's the Mr. Men Show. That show was produced with Cartoon Network, but it was co-produced with Five Network. --SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy (talk) 20:14, 3 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The former two are listed as acquisitions on the List of programs broadcast by Cartoon Network, so they definitely shouldn't be on this list. Annoying Orange isn't, so not sure what to make of that. GVO8891 (talk) 04:30, 18 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Mr. Men Show

[edit]

The Mr. Men Show does not deserve to be on the template for Cartoon Network's original programming, because even though it was produced by Cartoon Network, it was co-produced with a network in the UK: Five.

In this link [1], there's the confirm that show is a Cartoon Network licensed original series. Luigi1090 (talk) 10:28, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Date ranges

[edit]

Hi Luigi1090, I saw your recent changes here. Though I know MOS:DATERANGE was changed in the last year in favor of 4 digit year ranges (YYYY–YYYY), WikiProject Television seems to consider the YYYY–YY format still applicable at least for areas where space is of a premium. I'd say that the navbox would qualify. Thoughts?

As a general note as someone who has the template watchlisted, there's waaaaay too much information being communicated in the navbox even with the shorter date ranges, and the dates could be cut entirely in favor of year subgroups in each of the decades, like:

And so forth. I don't know why it's so crucial to list all the date ranges. The navbox is pretty much a solid wall of text and I don't see what actual good it's doing for anyone who seriously wants to navigate anywhere. How do you even find anything?
