Speedy deletion

[edit]

As per Wikipedia's Notability guidelines, "Notability" is not synonymous with "fame" or "importance". This page only has a few independent references, not substantial enough to establish notability. Smithderek2000 (talk) 23:37, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that notability might not be established on the article, but significance is and that is enough to survive speedy deletion. Take the article to WP:AFD if you feel it should be deleted. -- GB fan 12:01, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Roman Atwood requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... Roman Atwood is a celebrity thats is making a movie and has gone past 6 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS ON YOUTUBE. --194.65.231.38 (talk) 10:37, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The source I provided also disagrees with your statement considering the video I linked is a vlog created before Romans, but you would know that if you bothered to check. 86.152.248.70 (talk) 14:46, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The Youtube information section of this page indicates that his prank channel (youtube.com/user/romanatwood) has amassed 10.1 million subscribers. This is incorrect. The Youtube channel RomanAtwood has only 9.9 million subscribers. The channel with 10.1 million subscribers is his vlog channel, RomanAtwoodVlogs, a channel separate to his pranking channel. A similar error is made in the introduction paragraph. I propose that either a new Youtube information section be made for his vlog channel so that this page includes both of his channels (RomanAtwood and RomanAtwoodVlogs), or that the information is to be corrected and replaced with the proper subscriber count (9.9 million). In the Wikipedia about Roman Atwood, it briefly mentions how he has a brand called "smile more. I believe there should be a whole section on this as according to roman smile more is not just a brand but a movement. It was created so he could help spread positivity and has expanded from a few boxes of items to a whole dedicated building with staff to help run this movement and make sure thousands of people receive their merch. This is one of the biggest parts of Romans career which is why I believe there should be a section outlining the importance and effect smile more has had on his life and his channel. change On May 29, 2019, Atwoods's mother, Susan Atwood, died unexpectedly after a tragic accident while on vacation with the entire Atwood family. Atwood subsequently took time out from his social media activity to grieve for his mother.

to

On May 29, 2019, the world lost an angel, his mother, Susan Atwood, died unexpectedly after a tragic accident while on vacation with the entire Atwood family. In all of Roman's video's, Susan Atwood showed herself as a genuine caring person that loved her family more than anything. She will be remembered as an angel on earth.

Please make these changes or something simiar... she was an angel. 12.132.220.135 (talk) 00:23, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm sure she was a wonderful person, but Wikipedia is not the place for an obituary for lost friends and loved ones. Wikipedia articles should maintain a neutral, factual tone. If Susan meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines, feel free to write an article about her - but instead of telling readers that she was an angel, instead tell them neutrally what she did or achieved, and let them realize that for themselves. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 15:37, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
