Talk:Robopon Sun, Star, and Moon Versions
Robopon: Star Version
[edit]Some websites list "Robopon: Star Version" as an equivalent to "Robopon: Sun Version" (much like the Pokemon Red and Blue/Diamond and Pearl releases). However, I cannot find boxart for it. Does anyone know anything about this game and whether it exists? --Zooba 20:08, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Robopon Sun is indeed a counterpart to Robopon Star (and Robopon Moon, if memory serves), but only Sun was ever released in English. That may have something to do with it. Pythagorean * Hypotenuse Man 20:00, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- I recall hearing about the Moon version. Is it the same as star and sun like with Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow? Evaunit♥666♥ 01:24, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
- To the best of my knowledge. Pythagorean * Hypotenuse Man 00:16, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
- have you seen anywhere on the internet with a lot of info on the series? i cant seem to find anything too useful. Evaunit♥666♥ 01:11, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, most of my knowledge came from the GameFAQs forums, so any links I might have found - it's been a while - have been lost to the ages. ^^; Sorry. If it helps, though, the actual name of the game, in Japanese at least, is Robot Ponkottsu: Moon Version. Pythagorean * Hypotenuse Man 23:57, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
- thats alright, thanks anyway! its weird that theres so little info on these games tho. Evaunit♥666♥ 02:02, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- I just finished updating the article with the 3 standard versions of the game, I don't have the time to write a compatibility guide for them yet, and there is already a fairly good guide for "Sun", that I used as reference on the article. The Japanese versions, can trade among themselves but won't trade with the USA version, so it seems the only way to get all the Robopon in the USA version of "Sun" is probably with GameShark, or Game Genie codes. I also removed the <sub, html tag from around the caption to the main image it seemed to partily show the message and half hide it, making only part of it readable to the normal browser. I hope you like the changes.(Floppydog66 (talk) 21:00, 8 June 2008 (UTC))
- One last quick update two screen shotts from VGmuseum.com, hope they help out.(Floppydog66 (talk) 21:39, 8 June 2008 (UTC))

"Robopon Sun" or "Robopon Sun Version" or "Robopon: Sun" or "Robopon: Sun Version"?
[edit]I'm at a bit of a cross-roads in terms of what the naming conventions for these titles should be. On the one hand, I'm leaning towards "Robopon Sun", as that would bring the game in line with the Pokemon game naming conventions. However, the title just seems oddly short, and I was wondering whether or not "Version" should be included. Furthermore, I don't know whether the colon should be included - I don't have any access to press releases surrounding the game, so I don't know the official convention, and several gaming websites list it with the colon, but then, the Pokemon games don't have colons within their titles. Any other opinions on what to do? --Zooba 20:19, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
The title screen says Robopon Sun Version, so version should be in the title (I wouldnt use a colon since its not in the title screen). But I also think that comparing the game to pokemon so much is uncalled for. This game is not pokemon and, although everyone says it is, shouldnt be treated as a "pokemon clone". Though, a quote or something from a magazine calling it a clone would be beneficial. And as for star version; it does exist and i have a rom for it. Evaunit666 00:12, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll change the title to Robopon Sun and Star Versions. However, I think the "Similarities to Pokemon" section is worth keeping - I'm not saying it is necessarily bad, but I think that there are so many similarities between the two games that they are worth mentioning. --Zooba 17:53, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Robopon.jpg
[edit]Image:Robopon.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Manga
[edit]Why is there no mention of the Robopon manga anywhere on this page or the others? GETTA GET (talk) 19:14, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
- Probably because you're the only one that knows about the manga. You should add it in if you know about it. Evaunit♥666♥ 19:57, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
