Talk:Rescue Raiders
Built-in Concealed Feature
[edit]I remember playing this game in my highschool computer club. If you typed, "zippy," then you got unlimited weapons and additional "maneuverability" via the keyboard. It was great! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.214.231.57 (talk) 23:01, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- Ya! I remember that. I messed with my buddies and changed it to a different word with Nibble. LOL!

[edit]In what way is this game even close to resembling a real-time strategy game?! Mikademus 19:32, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- Well, it's strategic in that you queue up orders to dispatch units like tanks, men, etc. You have to keep in mind the order they move in (keep men behind tanks that tend to pause when firing for example), and you choose elements of the opponent's offense/defence to take out. It's real-time in that it's not a turn based game.123.51.3.24 15:09, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
- Do you extract resources? Do you build bases? Do you reserch technologies? Do you produce units and the give direct orders to them? A game of strategic nature in real-time is not necessarily a RTS game, which is a specific genre. 130.243.247.166 12:09, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
- You have ressources (maybe only $$), you produce unit (tank, missile launcher, truck, men) which progress in order to the ennemy base. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.30.139.86 (talk) 12:58, 1 December 2011 (UTC)

Arthur Britto II is principal developer?
[edit]In the Apple II version of Rescue Raiders, you can find a debug utility titled "Instarupt by Arthur Britto //". Arthur Britto II is listed in the credits for Armor Alley, the remake of Rescue Raiders! Could he be the principal developer? (incidentally Arthur Britto II was credited in usenet with porting fortune to apple II in 1989) 123.51.3.24 15:23, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
