Final Fantasy and Chrono Cross
[edit]Final Fantasy and Chrono Cross have random dungeons? I don't remember that. I think this part is wrong. --MK (talk) 13:36, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- I added an unsourced tag to that section for now. Hopefully people will soon start adding references for all the items on that list. I may take a look into myself at some point. —Torchiest talkedits 14:54, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
Discussion of algorithms or methods for procedural terrain generation
[edit]Will this article eventually explain the methods that are used for the procedural generation of random dungeons? I think it would be better if the article explained which techniques were the most commonly employed (cellular automata, L-system fractals, etc.). Jarble (talk) 17:59, 27 December 2012 (UTC)
Contradicts Rogue-like page
[edit]According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roguelike (look at "Concurrent variants"), the first rogue-like was https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beneath_Apple_Manor. It's also a little weird that this page asserts that it's usually Action RPGs that feature random dungeons. There's a lot of random dungeons in turn-based RPGs as well.--Cowgod14 (talk) 02:02, 23 August 2023 (UTC)
