Talk:Project Zomboid
Start-class
[edit]I have set the article to Start-class as it appears to meet the standards of compared Start-class articles. Make a post here if you feel this is unwarranted, but given the game's recent prominence and addition of an image this seems reasonable. CompassNNE (talk)
Burglary
[edit]Ok now I'm of the opinion that one of the main reason this game is notable at all is due to the bad luck of the team creating it. Its well documented among Indie game fans that The Indie Stone have had great problems leading to delays for the game. Now the biggest of these was the burglary that lost The Indie Stone nearly a month and a half of programming on the game, that seriously set the game back. It wasn't backed up and the team reacted badly on social media sites incurring the wrath of, not only fans, but 'Internet Trolls' (which continued to hamper the Project Zomboid team). This loss of data and bad reaction damaged the teams , and thus the games, reputation. It was a very public downfall and was the first time ,and thing, I had heard about Project Zomboid. In my mind this is an extremely notable event, not only for the game, but for Indie gaming in general. I haven't heard of another company that has gone through anything like this before. So I think there should be more on this than one sentence on the page, however, when I add information to it it is deleted by people saying it isn't notable. So I'm throwing it out there that I think more is needed on the topic and wondered what the community on a whole thought? Thanks guys Crumblewolf (Crumblewolf)
Notability
[edit]Finding reliable third-party sources covering this might be difficult, but here's a start: [1] Eik Corell (talk) 18:14, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Not sure if this can be inserted into the article somehow...
[edit]But, apparently one of the Indie Stone team members just got Burglarized @ his home... lost two of his laptops apparently, than deleted his twitter. Probably huge damage dealt to this game and its reputation. See here: http://i.imgur.com/o9aJk.png --72.175.73.129 (talk) 04:23, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
This event is causing a lot of vandalism to the page. I'm thinking perhaps we need protection until this blows over. --Drewnami (talk) 04:51, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
"Oh October 16, 2011, The Indie Stone developers' home was broken into and two laptops..."
Should be changed to
"On October 16, 2011, [X], an Indie Stone developer, claimed that his home was broken into and that two laptops..."

Chris "Lemmy" Simpson, one of the developers, posted a photo of part of the crime report given to him by police after the theft. http://twitpic.com/70x6jq Is that sufficient to have it considered a fact, rather than a claim? I'm unsure, as it doesn't show any details of what crime that document relates to. But it does indicate that it took place on October 15 2011, So the date at least should be corrected. 81.159.167.165 (talk) 11:52, 17 October 2011 (UTC)
RC2.9
[edit]This game has received a major overhaul since May 2013. This should be noted in the article. 79.158.39.216 (talk) 10:43, 11 May 2013 (UTC)

English variation
[edit]Just wanted to raise a question. As The Indie Stone is a British and Canadian studio, should the article be written in British English? I know it's not that big of an issue but i just wanted to see how I could help out. Thanks NotAnInsurgent (talk) 23:22, 23 August 2023 (UTC)
