Merge proposal
[edit]I come with this proposal to merge this article into the List of Sailor Moon video games, per Wikipedia:Notability. Its "Reception" section is just one line from a mention in Anime News Networt, but nothing else. No content will be lost with this merger, and the list of video games (and all content in Wikipedia) needs sources anyway. Thoughts? --LoЯd ۞pεth 18:30, 18 October 2019 (UTC)
- I strongly oppose to this proposition, as it took most of my time to do the article. There are sources of the game out there but in Japanese (such as Gamest) and they are hard to come by. The same thing happened to the 3DO game by one of the editors and he did it without any advice whatsoever. Roberth Martinez (talk) 21:54, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Lord Opeth:So it was you who merged the 3DO game back into the list again? I'm sorry but like I already said, I strongly disagree with your proposal. I plan to do a separate article for the SNES and Genesis Sailor Moon game, as there are plenty of sources out there but most don't bother in doing deep research for it. I just don't like when the easiest solution for some Wikipedia editors is to just merge an article into a topic and all that work goes completely to waste... - By the way, there was another reference in the reception section that I added but forgot to expand upon so, it was not just Anime News Network... Roberth Martinez (talk) 20:50, 20 October 2019 (UTC)
- I have withdrawn the nomination since more real world stuff is being added. @KGRAMR:, please note that this nomination was not intended to undermine your hard work, but for future discussions consider that arguments like "it took most of my time to do the article" or "there are sources" are not valid (see Wikipedia:Guide to deletion#General advice and Wikipedia:Arguments to avoid in deletion discussions). I am a huge Sailor Moon fan myself and I would love to have every aspect of the frachise covered in articles but only as long as they clearly pass Wikipedia:Notability. The 3D0 as it was before I merged it was a stub, and we do not need a collection of stubs. If you are planning to create the article on the SNES and Genesis game, please look for the sources you say there are and add them in the form of Development or Reception sections; otherwise, someone else may nominate it for merging or worse, for deletion. If you need assistance and know of sources for these video games and for others (for example, Another Story), please let me know and I would be glad to help. --LoЯd ۞pεth 14:01, 21 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Lord Opeth:Thanks! And sorry for acting that way... Roberth Martinez (talk) 17:22, 21 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Lord Opeth:Let me finish in restricting a Toaplan-related article and i'll tackle Another Story in regards to sources! Roberth Martinez (talk) 17:25, 21 October 2019 (UTC)
- @KGRAMR: I have retrieved the Another Story article myself, with a review by Meta Critic (it clearly needs expansion, I added tags for this matter). I am planning to rewrite the List of Sailor Moon video games to match the format of other lists like List of Dragon Ball video games, List of One Piece video games or List of Naruto video games. I am sure that, with proper references, with can also have articles on video games such as Sailor Moon (1993), Sailor Moon R or Shin Shuyaku Soudatsusen. --LoЯd ۞pεth 17:33, 21 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Lord Opeth:That's the idea I have :) Roberth Martinez (talk) 17:34, 21 October 2019 (UTC)
