Ripped from Manual
[edit]All of the info past the introduction is ripped from the manual.TheListUpdater 21:09, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- When you say "ripped" you mean paraphrased. It isn't a direct copy. Clearly, as there is only one reference, the info only comes from one source. Would it benefit from more sources? Certainly, but I don't see how it needs a complete rewrite. Please explain.—WAvegetarian•(talk) 19:45, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- It should at least need cleanup. I mean:
“ | The game is divided into five departments, each with three areas. The first department is Prehistoric Plaza where Power Pete is assaulted by lots of cavemen and a diverse array of dinosaur toys. The second department is Candy Cane Lane. Here Power Pete fights off gingerbread men, marzipan bears, animated mints, and other sugary treats. The third department is Fairy Tale Trail with depictions of classic villains like the Big Bad Wolf, the witch of Hansel and Gretel and the giant from Jack and the Beanstalk. The fourth department is the Magic Funhouse with evil clowns, jack-in-the-boxes, and carrot wielding rabbits popping out of hats. The final department is the Bargain Bin. Here Power Pete encounters cars, tops, psycho robots and general chaos. | ” |
- Does that look like some Wikipedian wrote that?
- And furthermore, even if it isn't copied word-by-word, a high school english teacher would surely punish you for ripping that without quoting. It does need a complete rewrite. TheListUpdater 17:36, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
Rewritten, though I'm not sure how to put the levels into a list without the list looking cluttered, so I put them into subsections, which then messes with the TOC. Oh, well. --JayMGoldberg (talk) 01:29, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
Power Pete is a third person shooter?
[edit]From the wikipedia page for third-person shooter:
"Third-person shooter (TPS) is a genre of 3D action games in which the player character is visible on-screen, and the gameplay consists primarily of shooting."
Does that really fit Power Pete? It's not 3D, for one thing. --Cstanford.math (talk) 17:16, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
