Talk:Portland Retro Gaming Expo
Article Creation
[edit]OK, first draft, so bear with me, thanks! It's intended to be similar in layout and general look and feel as the article on the Midwest Gaming Classic and the Classic Gaming Expo, hopefully it lives up to that. Still missing are the logo (looks like I can't upload that until the referencing article is live, so that will have to wait) and there was an article in the Washington Post that I'd like to link. Please provide feedback - thanks! Seattleretroguy (talk) 01:16, 11 February 2024 (UTC)
- And one more thing: need to add the status as Oregon-based 501(c)4 non-profit Seattleretroguy (talk) 01:19, 11 February 2024 (UTC)
- WaPo reference and non-profit status done, logo will have to wait until this article is published/out of draft status. Seattleretroguy (talk) 19:44, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
Logo Reference
[edit]To the reviewer: please leave the sentence with the logo, I will upload and add the graphic once the article is created. Seems like I can't upload the graphic for Draft-status articles. Thanks! Seattleretroguy (talk) 20:26, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
- I'll add the logo as non-free logo once the article moves out of draft status, in line with the guidelines in Wikipedia:Logos Seattleretroguy (talk) 23:28, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
Event History
[edit]In the interest in keeping the article concise and brief I removed the Event History section. Perhaps turn it into a Growth History section like Midwest Gaming Classic has. Thoughts anybody? Seattleretroguy (talk) 19:11, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
Notability (organizations and companies) Criteria
[edit]Reading through the examples and the litmus test of Primary Criteria at Wikipedia:NCORP I think the The Washington Post and the The Verge articles definitely qualify. Even the KOIN TV and the Portland Monthly links qualify IMHO. I went ahead and added Wikipedia links to all the sources as well. Seattleretroguy (talk) 07:48, 25 February 2024 (UTC)
