Reception section needs an edit

[edit]

this is the first time I’ve ever commented on a wiki page so forgive me, but the reception section is a clunky mess. It’s written in present tense and contains a lot of repeated words and sentence structure. For example, “Still, he claims the game was so good he didn't care. Still, he notices weak combat AI and bugs.”

“he” isn't given a name either. The paraphrasing also comes off as vague selective.

"but the reception section is a clunky mess".
It was worse when it only showed one view-point. You can't do style, the actual content (what thoughts are expressed), and everything meticulously for free. You have to do other things, too.
"It’s written in present tense".
When I wrote: "he claims the game was so good", well, I meant he didn't change his mind. He was claiming in the review and it's still his opinion. I agree that it becomes strange, as the review in question gets older and older.
Still, the reception section is not written in present tense: "He concluded", "IGN said that the game was", "Polygon wrote that", "GameSpot reviewer felt the game arouses", "He also wrote that"...
So, you are actually exaggeratting the section is a mess. MichalZim (talk) 07:46, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
