Talk:Nexus: The Jupiter Incident
Untitled
[edit]As lame as putting a POV tag on a computer game may sound, this article exhorts how magnificent Nexus is while bashing other games (Homeworld, the Star Trek franchise). The game certainly does not seem revolutionary (my own POV), so I think it's not fair to say it will beat all the other games hands-down (which is what the article is implying). -Hmib 19:58, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I made it less biased and added a section on the games slight infamy for being buggy. So I removed the POV tag 62.181.235.221 21:09, 15 July 2005 (UTC)
This doesn't really say anything about the storyline of the game, it sounsd more like the blurb on the back of a case than something informative. Ragzouken 20:33, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
I extended the storyline a little more. While this game does not beat others hands-down, I like it more than Homeworld 2 and the Starfleet Command games. ChronoLegion 1:31, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- I like the game too, believe me, but in order to be encyclopedic, the article has to contain pure, raw facts and data... no praise, no glorification, no bashing, asf. —Ƿōdenhelm (talk) 07:03, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
Sequel
[edit]I unsuccessfully tried to put up a note about the sequel, which read like this: A technical demonstration video for the suspected sequel, Nexus: The Jupiter Incident 2, was leaked to the Internet sometime in 2006.[1]. Due to the apparent demise of the developer, however, it appears to no longer be in production. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Zipline (talk • contribs) 20:52, 30 April 2007 (UTC).
I replaced the current text with yours since it sounded better. The previous text wasn't very objective or encyclopaedian. BeShaMo (talk) 10:50, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Patching Raises Difficulty?
[edit]Under the Bugs section, it is said that applying the 1.01 patch makes the game unwinable. Unfortunately, I think this isn't true, as I can complete the game with ease on the Proffessional difficulty setting; before and after patching. Admittedly some missions are extremely difficult, and require very careful thought or several tries, but I would not call them 'unwinable'. Also, the game does indeed crash to the desktop at times, but that is only because of errors within the missions themselves, which are virtually non-existant in all but incomplete (demo/beta) 3rd-party mods. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.194.248.5 (talk) 13:37, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Sweatwater.JPG
[edit]Image:Sweatwater.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit]Changed all the "Callisto" remarks to "Europa", since according to the game lore this is the moon where the SpaceTech stations are located. 2A02:A03F:E38E:1700:6423:FA32:86A3:B423 (talk) 19:54, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
