fan communities
[edit]This info is unsourced; no reliable sources have picked up on this. Putting links to the websites of these communities doesn't establish notability, it just proves that they exist, which is not enough to make them notable. To reiterate, for any of this to be important enough to mention, these communities, leagues, and mods, etc, they must have received reliable, third-party coverage. Linking to their websites is not enough. Eik Corell (talk) 18:23, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
The "online racing league" cites no sources for importance, just links to the leagues. As for the "mod community" section, it just contains links to the website that's supposed to have covered the subject. I'm not convinced. We need clear references; used the [1] to do reference the exact articles or podcasts. Eik Corell (talk) 15:29, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
Agreed on the online leagues. ;-)
However, there's a "magic tool" called searching button on Virtualr.net that makes possible to find a lot of reviews.... and InsideSimRacing TV show has an YouTube profile with dozens of episodes at your disposal. [1]
That what i got in a 30 secs search...

Another issue is why did you take out the Fallen Drivers tribute citation. This topic has the most reliable source of all... the game itself! ;-)
.
- VirtualR.net as far as I can tell, is not a notable, reliable source. Together with the video log, I can't justify including mention of mod communities still existing for the game. However, racing games are out of the scope of articles I usually edit, so I've requested a third-party to have a look at whether the sources will do or not. Eik Corell (talk) 18:22, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, fan communities and leagues do not get mentioned, unless they have been mentioned by reliable secondary sources. This is policy. The information, as presented, should be removed from the article. Marasmusine (talk) 21:01, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
Oh well.... based on these principles, nothing in this world is a reliable source, isnt it? I regret wasting my time trying to help Wikipedia.
Over and out!
