I always enjoy reviewing your articles. I can't say I've ever actually played any FF games (I know, I know, shame on me) but this looks to be an interesting article. J Milburn (talk) 18:54, 10 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • "It was intended to sound different than previous Final Fantasy titles" That the music of previous titles, rather than the titles themselves.
  • "The music of the game has resulted in" Repetition of "music", passive voice
  • "was included in her 2012 album Infinity." Are songs in albums or on them.
  • "The game's director, Motomu Toriyama, wanted the game's soundtrack to have more variety than that of the music in Final Fantasy XIII, as well as feature more styles, resulting in the addition of the two new composers." This doesn't read well, but I'm not quite sure why. Sorry to be vague- could it be rephrased?
  • Is Mitsuto Suzuki worth a redlink? I'm getting the impression that he's probably notable, and redlinks are not a bad thing.
  • "bits of music" Informal. Pieces?
  • "Final Fantasy XIII-2 Original Soundtrack is the soundtrack album of Final Fantasy XIII-2, containing all of the musical tracks from the game, and was composed and produced by Masashi Hamauzu, Naoshi Mizuta, and Mitsuto Suzuki." This feels like the opening line of an article; it doesn't flow that well from the previous section.
  • "The soundtrack album reached" Why mention that it's a soundtrack album again?
  • RPGFan and Original Sound Version are unexplained in-line; clarify what they are? Ezines?
  • In the soundtrack's infobox, can we have the total length listed, and why "Masashi Hamauzu, Naoshi Mizuta, Mitsuto Suzuki" rather than "Masashi Hamauzu, Naoshi Mizuta and Mitsuto Suzuki"?
  • "Final Fantasy XIII-2 Original Soundtrack PLUS is a soundtrack album of Final Fantasy XIII-2, containing a selection of arrangements of musical tracks from the game. It was composed and produced by Masashi Hamauzu, Naoshi Mizuta, and Mitsuto Suzuki," Again, this doesn't gel so well with what's gone before. Perhaps I'm missing the point- is this article more of a list? If so, I'd expect it to be called something like "List of musical releases from Final Fantasy XIII-2"
  • "The tracks on the album cover a variety of styles, often different ones than that of the original pieces" Than those of the original pieces?
  • "and included in addition to the piece three other tracks." How about "and included, in addition to the piece, three other tracks." or "and included three other tracks in addition to the piece."
  • "mini-album "Beautiful Days" on" I'd imagine mini-albums would have italicised titles?
  • Two quick questions about the tracklistings- firstly, why have you not listed the composers for each individual piece? I can't help but feel that that would be a useful addition. Secondly, why do the Japanese titles not have "quote marks"?
  • While I'm happy that File:Final Fantasy XIII-2 OST cover.jpg is OK (just), it's too big. 300 by 300 is the line-in-the-sand figure for album covers.
  • The sources seem appropriate, but it is odd having a negative Square Enix review for a Square Enix product!

In all, a solid article. The key issues are the weird flow (it feels like several separate articles bolted together, in some ways) and the track listings. I'm open to being convinced I'm wrong in either case, of course. I'm sure I'll be able to promote this after it's been tweaked a little. J Milburn (talk) 19:21, 10 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, addressed all of the above. The problem with this article is that, unlike a lot of my articles, my "music of" articles follow a pattern that I invented as there wasn't anything at the time to follow- a pattern which, unfortunately, I came up with five years ago when I wasn't as experienced and which hasn't evolved that much since. As you noted, it seems a bit like a listy article- primarily because the first "music of" articles I wrote were actually preexisting album articles smooshed together. Hopefully it's a bit better now- I'll keep that issue in mind next time I write a music article. Also- Square Enix Music Online is unaffiliated with Square Enix. :) The name comes from the fact that they used to cover just Square Enix games... then RPGs in general... and now all video game music. They're looking to (finally) change their name this month, so hopefully that will clear things up. --PresN 03:07, 11 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Great, thanks for the fixes, and sorry about the delay. I'm happy now that this is ready for good article status. J Milburn (talk) 21:13, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
