Self-published sources

[edit]

I recently tagged this source as self-published:

Rolek, Michiko (March 16, 2014). "Glowing with the Flow – An Interview with Steven Universe's Michaela Dietz". FunzenBakery.com. Retrieved April 14, 2014.

An unregisted user has removed the tag, and has changed the BLP self-published hatnote into Template:BLP sources. This source is clearly self-published, see Wikipedia:Identifying and using self-published works. The author page identifies the authors as "FunZen Girls, Grace (daughter), Michiko (mom)", and I can see no evidence that anyone else has published this website.

Please do not remove this tag without explaining here why this website is not self-published. Verbcatcher (talk) 00:47, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The same unregisted user has also reverted my removal of her Dietz's birthplace and her American status, both of which are unsourced. I will remove these again. Please do not add unsourced material about living people. If you revert another editor's contribution you should always explain why, in a comment or on the talk page. American

[edit]

Are we certain that she is American? The photos in her Twitter account depict her as an Asian woman with light skin. Her Internet Movie Database page lists her as Korean. Dimadick (talk) 08:22, 24 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I removed American in November 2016 with this edit. I had not noticed that it had been re-introduced without citing a source. Ethnicity is not a useful guide for American nationality. Her IMDb profile says Dietz was born in South Korea, and does not state her nationality. IMDb would not a reliable source for adding her nationality, but it leads to the conclusion that "American" is doubtful as well as unsourced. I have searched online for her nationality, and have not found any reliable sources (only probable Wikipedia mirrors). I was hoping for something like a newspaper in a newspaper, or a resumé from her agency. Deitz is represented by Abrams Artists. They have a sound clip of her, but I could not find any details on their website. I will remove American from the article and the categories. Please do not add this without citing an adequate source. And how come she has both a German first name and family name? Der Eberswalder (talk) 11:32, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Should we combine all the entries in the Barney Section into one entry in the television section.? I'm fairly certain we don't need to list every individual episode she was in as a separate credit. It should look more like this:
