Article reads like an advertisement
[edit]A major problem plaging this article is that in several spots it reads more like an advertisement than an encyclopedia article (WP:SOAP). This tone is engineered by the use of peacock terms (WP:PEACOCK) such as "exclusive", "intensifying", "the many features of the game", "new" etc. This would lead me to believe that a great deal of the prose has been copy-pasted from the sources it relies on, instead of being rewritten to adopt a more neutral (WP:NEUTRAL) tone. I also encountered some exaggerated language (WP:EUPHEMISM) throughout the article, such as "Rockstar slammed", "toiling away diligently", and weasel words (WP:WEASEL) such as "legitimate", "fans", "some people", "gun-toting". Also some deceptive synonyms for said (WP:CLAIM) such as "implied". The article needs to undergo a complete rewrite from start to finish, else it will have to be significantly culled and redirected back to Grand Theft Auto V. CR4ZE (talk) 15:48, 28 August 2013 (UTC)
- Have fixed all of the specific words you listed. It will need rechecking and polishing later though. - X201 (talk) 08:51, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
I'll still leave the tag up to encourage others to edit it because there are still some parts requiring somewhat of a rewrite; for example, the Release trailers section could be converted into prose instead of those big bullet points, and there still are the issues of neutrality especially in the Announcements section. Also, are you able to open up a section at Grand Theft Auto V which summarises the marketing efforts in two or three good-size paragraphs? You can use {{main|Marketing for Grand Theft Auto V}} because the only place where Grand Theft Auto V links here is at the top of the Development section. CR4ZE (talk) 14:00, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
