- ... that Madrasa Ghaziuddin Khan is one of the few surviving madrasas dating from the Mughal Empire, and the oldest continuing school in Delhi, India? - Length, date ok. QPQ not needed, no prior DYK. But the sentence backing up the hook doesn't have a direct reference. --Soman (talk) 01:29, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
- I intended the hook to be supported by the two citations. The Koch citation directly references the Madrasa. The Asher citation doesn't, but here's the full passage:
- Among these buildings the complex containing the tomb, mosque and madrasa of Ghazi al-Din, immediately beyond the Ajmer gate, is the largest and best preserved. Such a large edifice on this major thoroughfare underscores the notion that this portion of the city had been undeveloped. The school, today housing Zakir Husain College, has been one of Delhi's leading educational institutions since its establishment and is the oldest continuing school in the city.
- I hope this is sufficient to back up the sentence. If not, let me know what criteria is required.Gowhk8 (talk) 06:14, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
- Soman, does the citation check out? theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/her) 22:30, 18 July 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry for late feedback. Whats the source for 'one of the few surviving madrasas dating from the Mughal Empire'? --Soman (talk) 16:47, 20 August 2023 (UTC)
- Soman, this is from the Koch citation as indicated in my nomination, here is a section of the passage: The madrasa of Ghaziu'd-Din Khan represents one of the few surviving Mughal madrasas; it is an outstanding and well-planned example. The story of the madrasas in South Asia still remains to be written but it is evident that as a building type it did not play a great role in Mughal architecture, nor in the earlier architecture of the Delhi Sultans.

- Ok, good. I added the Koch ref in article to the sentence stating 'few' in the article. --Soman (talk) 12:24, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
