Merger proposal

[edit]

I think it would provide a more coherent read if the listed buildings in Castley were covered in the Castley village/civil parish article, so that the information was all in one place. BobKilcoyne (talk) 03:49, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is part of a series of lists in Listed buildings in North Yorkshire, itself part of Listed buildings in England. I suppose it might work for parishes with only a few listed buildings, with an appropriate redirect for consistency. But for larger lists, such as Listed buildings in Boroughbridge, it would overwhelm the article, even more so in very large lists like, for example. Listed buildings in Bradford (City Ward). I would prefer to keep it in See also for all lists, rather than, say, integrate it in some lists and not in others. --Peter I. Vardy (talk) 09:06, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Probably better to keep the list as part of a series. The article can contain details of the buildings in the text rather than have a list. Also have link to list. Keith D (talk) 11:55, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support merge proposal for short text and context; such an action doesn't change the structure of other articles, or enforce other merges (I agree that other longer lists with associated larger town/city articles should stay where they are). I recommend maintaining the categories on the redirect so that there is no change in Category:Lists of listed buildings in North Yorkshire. Klbrain (talk) 08:30, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
