Titles

[edit]

Wait, wait, wait. Legend of the River King GBC is just a color version of the GB version, but they are listed as two different games (GB = Kawa no Nushi Tsuri 3, GBC = Kawa no Nushi Tsuri 4). Now, was the original Kawa no Nushi Tsuri 4 supposed to be a new game and the US just got stiffed or is it supposed to be 'remake' of Kawa no Nushi Tsuri 3? -- 69.233.222.102 03:46, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like info was taken from GameFAQs (which is somewhat wrong there too), and poorly researched. I've fixed it. - Akadewboy 09:11, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't Kawa no Nushi Tsuri 3 & 4 (GBA) just a graphically updated port of Kawa 3 and Kawa 4 (as the title implies)? -- Jelly Soup 06:31, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, we need to add the Umi no Nushi Tsuri titles. -- Jelly Soup 06:32, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kawa no Nushi Tsuri: Shizenha

[edit]

Hey while cleaning the list on the main article and searching around i found this game, Kawa no Nushi Tsuri: Shizenha, for the Turbo CD and the Virtual Console. It was made by Marvelous so i was wondering if it is part of this series or has nothing to do with this series? Also is Nushi Tsuri 64 related to this series to or is it just a seperate fishing game by Victor Interactive? and finally i found 3 Umi no Nushi Tsuri titles and Nushi Tsuri Adventure title as spinoff's and was wondering if i missed any? Salavat (talk) 03:48, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I had made a list of games in the series at one point, but I can't find it for the life of me. Anyway:
  • Shizenha - GameFAQs has it listed as being made by Pack-In-Video, who has had a hand in making may of the River King games, along with Victor Interactive, Marvelous and Natsume.
  • Nushi Tsuri 64 - Otherwise known as River King 64. Based on the title, I guess it would be part of the Spin-Off series, much like Kite no Bouken.
  • As far as the Umi no Nushi Tsuri series, it's not as well documented as Kawa no Nushi Tsuri. From what I can tell, all the games are there. -- Jelly Soup (talk) 05:23, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your quick response, so do you reckon i should list Shizenha as a spinoff? Salavat (talk) 06:56, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Alright i added Shizenha as a spin-off because of the similarities in developers and publishers. Again thanks for your help Jelly Soup. Salavat (talk) 07:09, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. I've been meaning to work on this page for the longest time. The problem is this series is relativity obscure. Even the arguably best River King fan site doesn't cover all the games. The Atelier series has the same problem. -- Jelly Soup (talk) 01:09, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
