Chronological order?
[edit]Wouldn't such a list be more helpful in Chronological Order? That way one can find their newest games, and see where they started. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.74.136.57 (talk) 21:47, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
New format
[edit]I spent a few months reformatting the list from several lists based on platforms into the current format. It is now several tables broken up alphabetically by title. This format has precedence (here, here, and here). It is broken up into several different pages because one list would be well over 100K, which is the informal limit on page size. If you'd like to discuss it, please do so here. Thanks! — Frεcklεfσσt | Talk 14:47, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
- I think these new formats are huge steps over what this list used to look at. Well done. Rilech (talk) 15:23, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
About this page
[edit]I think this page(List of Capcom games) should be revert to the old version because the new page is too complicated. The old one is easy to read and understand. Come on body (talk) 05:17, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
- A consensus was reached to change it. You cannot, alone, overturn that consensus. Rilech (talk) 05:43, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
- Now, specifically, what don't you like about the new version Come on body? That it's on separate pages? That it lists all the platforms for each game? Let's discuss. — Frεcklεfσσt | Talk 14:16, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
I will think about it. Please geive me some times. Let me think about new page or old page, which one is better. Come on body (talk) 00:08, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
- That's not the issue. Clearly you like the old one better. The question is, what can we do to this new list to make it more useful/easier for you. — Frεcklεfσσt | Talk 00:52, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
That's why I'm said "I will think about it. Please geive me some times." Don't you understand me? And what do you mean "Clearly you like the old one better."? That's totally wrong. Do not think you can read my mind. Come on body (talk) 08:43, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
not sure how to use wiki, i'm new to editing it but i hope i'm doing it right. basically the problem of this new format compared to the old one is that we cannot view all games on a single platform at the same time. like the person above said the page should look more like the square enix page as one big table so we can at least view all games from a single platfrom like the old version lists them. the change would also be able to list all games by release dates and by developers which would also be a nice feature. you can't do this while all the lists are seperated. i hope someone in charge of this page reads this. and i guess i have to sigh like this?? 201.150.141.81 (talk) 22:25, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
also if it just can't work out for some reason or another, can't the old list just be it's own page with the title "List of Capcom Games by Console" or something along those lines? can i do that? or will it get erased? 201.150.141.81 (talk) 21:15, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
New format does not work on mobile
[edit]I was trying to look at this list on my phone and it looks like a blank page. I see no reason why the games can't all be combined in the new format on the same page, as the 100 kB rule only applies to readable prose. --107.107.57.31 (talk) 23:04, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
Still broken on mobile as of February 2019. --Relative Newbie Alan Redgown (talk) 07:21, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
Anyone notice there's no games here?
[edit]Kinda weird that there's a page without the list. MegaDeox (talk) 11:47, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
Yeah why is it that way? Tee wew28 (talk) 05:02, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
Reformatting suggestion
[edit]Hello. I think this set of pages would be a lot more useful if there was a complete list in one sortable table rather than broken up into multiple separate pages alphabetically. 2603:8001:C83F:6800:4D72:63BD:3E86:5E62 (talk) 02:48, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- The alphabetical divisions make searching very difficult. Alphabetizing only makes it easy to find games if you know their title already, but I feel like the main point of lists is for searching things you don't already know about. The two ways I would usually want to search are by date, or by system, but both of these are extremely difficult to do in the current organization, unfortunately. I don't think sorting by name has any value for a search. - Rainwarrior (talk) 21:16, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
