Talk:List of BlazBlue characters
This article was nominated for deletion on 25 May 2016. The result of the discussion was keep. |
Text and/or other creative content from BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger was copied or moved into List of BlazBlue characters with this edit. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists. |
HypeDawg text added
[edit]I have included a section for HypeDawg. Considering how viral the NPC has become, and also considering the artistic nature of the game, this entry is legitimate and worth discussion on this page. While he has little to do with the story/history of this franchise, there is no other place for his mentioning. More information is available to someone with knowledge of Japanese characters (ie, his Japanese name located on a doghouse behind him). Link to outside video included to demonstrate viral nature. —Preceding unsigned comment added by BerretSO4 (talk • contribs) 23:23, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
Character section has been split!
[edit]I have split the character section into a separate article for the sake of preventing clutter and allowing us more room for elaboration, leaving a simple summary of each character in place on the main page. Please, feel free to edit those summaries to more fitting entries, just try not to let them get too long (lest they become more than summaries). I recognize my summaries may not have been perfect, but they should be acceptable for now. I also removed the non-playable characters from the main page. I don't believe they are necessary to the main article. Hopefully we can also get a picture of each character to put in the character page next to them, but I'm not familiar with the method by which we'd have to go about that, or if it's even a possibility in this case. I'll post back when I figure that out. I'm posting this in the talk page of both the main and the character page.
"Teach Me, Miss Litchi!" Relevance
[edit]I recently removed a change adding details on Kokonoe's unique modifications as revealed in "Teach Me, Miss Litchi!" While I do believe that it isn't pertinent to Tager's character and as such does not belong in the character section, it did make me question adding a section talking about it on the main page. In this case, it's non-canon information provided for the sake of humor. In some cases, it provides good information on the world given out of context (Valkenhayn's name being Hellsing for instance). Still, all it really has so far is a one-line reference on the main page. Thoughts anyone?--KickMeElmo (talk) 04:46, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- While the situations in the skits are stated to be non-canon, the information provided through them (the Black Beast, the Six Heroes, the NOL, Sector Seven, etc.) are implied to be taken as fact within the entirety of the BlazBlue universe; therefore, the skits deserve a mention, at the very least.--TacticianJ (talk) 11:21, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
Guilty Gear References
[edit]In this case, I've re-removed the Sol Badguy reference because her reasons for calling him "Good Guy" are clearly stated in the game. Though it may be a nice sentiment to attempt to link the two, there is no official comment anywhere even giving the illusion of this being the case. Taokaka calls him Good Guy simply because he gave her free food, something she is very partial to. Any other reasoning behind the name is nothing more than an assumption. If at any time someone can find an official comment stating otherwise, feel free to re-add it with a reference link. On the other hand, considering that this is supposed to be an encyclopedic entry, assumptions belong on the Wikia page.
Kokonoe
[edit]Guys, Julie Ann Taylor voiced Kokonoe. Not Kari Wahlgren.
Just wanted to make this known. Not going to edit it in myself out of the expectation that someone is going to revert it without consulting the talk page. --Robtf (talk) 12:45, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Tsubaki
[edit]Similarly, someone has also been crediting Julie Ann Taylor for Tsubaki's role when it is clearly Dorothy Elias Fahn.

- Actually Julie Ann Taylor said she voiced both Tsubaki and Kokonoe in an audio interview done with 91.8 The Fan.
Linhua's English voice?
[edit]Does anyone have a word on who did Linhua's English voice? --DarkGhostMikel (talk) 01:41, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
- Sadly, no one has been able to identify the voice, nor has anyone claimed to be the one playing the part. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 04:10, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
Help
[edit]Can't you guys update it already--Spidervenom123 (talk) 23:36, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
BBCP English voices?
[edit]Where was it confirmed that Bullet, Amane and Kagura's VAs were Karen Strassman, Johnny Yong Bosch and Liam O'Brien? Do we even have a source for this? I know DC Douglas himself confirmed he'll be Azreal but where did people get the others from? 82.39.98.132 (talk) 18:22, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
English Realise
[edit]Okay everybody the game is out on the US now.--Spidervenom123 (talk) 14:07, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- A copy for me is looking unlikely, so if someone else can play through the English version to possibly get some story details clear, that would be great. TheStickMan[✆Talk] 14:54, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
Updates
[edit]Hibiki's english voice is Steve Staley,Celica can nullify Ragna and Terumi's grimores,Ragna gives up his revenge, and Rachel is more active in CP. Bloodedge could use his right arm and eye because of Celica.--Spidervenom123 (talk) 18:16, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
- I'll add the English voice. Celica nullifying grimoires is already mentioned. "Ragna gives up on revenge" is vague, not really necessary to mention. Rachel being more active is vague, as well. TheStickMan[✆Talk] 19:14, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
Orphaned references in List of BlazBlue characters
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of BlazBlue characters's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 09:04, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
