Moved as to all unambiguous titles. After much-extended time for discussion, there is a clear consensus to move with respect to most of these titles. Although there is contested support with respect to the ambiguous titles, there is not a showing with respect to their being a primary topic for these terms. That specific point of objection is therefore not overcome with respect to those specific titles. BD2412 T 01:24, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
- Leo I, King of Armenia → Leo I of Armenia
- Hethum I, King of Armenia → Hethum I of Armenia
- Leo II, King of Armenia → Leo II of Armenia
- Hethum II, King of Armenia → Hethum II of Armenia
- Thoros III, King of Armenia → Thoros III of Armenia
- Constantine I, King of Armenia → Constantine I of Armenia
- Leo III, King of Armenia → Leo III of Armenia
- Leo IV, King of Armenia → Leo IV of Armenia
- Constantine II, King of Armenia → Constantine II of Armenia
- Constantine III, King of Armenia → Constantine III of Armenia
- Constantine IV, King of Armenia → Constantine IV of Armenia
- Leo V, King of Armenia → Leo V of Armenia
– Per WP:SOVEREIGN, "kings, queens regnant and emperors and empresses regnant who are known as 'first name + ordinal' (with the exceptions mentioned elsewhere) normally have article titles in the form '{Monarch's first name and ordinal} of {Country}'." It also seems a little redundant to include the word "King" in the article title when it is clear that rulers like Edward I of England and Henry III of France are kings. Векочел (talk) 19:01, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
- Support per the nominator's rationale. ╠╣uw [talk] 20:34, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
- Support because Векочел makes good points. Baxbox (talk) 07:42, 15 May 2022 (UTC)
- Support. The first two Leos and Constantines need hatnotes to distinguish them from the princes. Constantine I of Armenia and Constantine II of Armenia are redirects to other articles. Srnec (talk) 13:32, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
- Support per nominator. ModernDayTrilobite (talk • contribs) 22:14, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. The rulers of Cilician Armenia bore the title of king from 1198. Consequently, there were two Leos I and II of Armenia, and two Constantines I and II of Armenia. Borsoka (talk) 01:53, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose some. Per Borsoka, the proposed move would make some monarch with an ambiguous title (eg. Constantine I of Armenia could be either Constantine I, Prince of Armenia or Constantine I, King of Armenia, so it should be a dab page). No objection to move unambiguous monarchs. Vpab15 (talk) 23:01, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
Oppose some per Borsoka - support moving monarchs where there is no ambiguity. SamWilson989 (talk) 02:33, 22 May 2022 (UTC)- Support all per nomonator, WP:SOVEREIGN & Srnec hatnote suggestion that resolves the ordinal question. Much more consistent. Norfolkbigfish (talk) 07:24, 22 May 2022 (UTC)
- Support per nom. Showiecz (talk) 22:58, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- Support all - thanks Norfolkbigfish, you're right that Srnec's suggestion would fix the issues and I had missed that suggestion. SamWilson989 (talk) 23:52, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose for the Leo and Constantine cases, per Borsoka. The solution proposed effectively makes the later king primary topic over the earlier prince, but that isn't the case. Page views show the prince Constantine I has higher numbers than the king Constantine I. The recent switch of the redirect was therefore a poor choice, and I've now changed it to be a disambiguation page. No issues with the other moves, bar those two. — Amakuru (talk) 16:43, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
