Lands of Lore Wiki
[edit]Hey everyone. If you need a resource for anything about this game and others in the series, I and team of editors have put together a really comprehensive wiki on the subject with over 1,000 articles. And if there are any editors out there who are intimately familiar with these games, we'd love to have your contributions as well. I've even spoken to Rick Gush, head writer, and other developers from Westwood Studios in an effort to get a more complete picture. Not to sound like a shameless plug, just trying my best to archive this unique and inspired hidden gem of a series that has been unfortunately buried by time. Thank you. Reception
[edit]Given the heaps of praise both 1 and 2 received, I removed the "nevertheless it was not as unanimously acclaimed as its predecessor" because it had no source to support it. I did however insert a sentence about its drastic change in gameplay from LOL1, which is probably what the "nevertheless" author had on his mind when he edited it originally. To say otherwise would be erroneous unless someone can find a source to prove me otherwise. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.233.10.123 (talk) 14:03, 4 May 2011 (UTC)

- It's poorly written and unencyclopedic, that's why it's being removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of technical HOWTO articles. Please read WP:NOT and refrain from adding the section without reaching proper consensus with other editors on this talk page. mensch • t 15:06, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed. If this bug or issue has been covered by a reliable, third-party published source, perhaps a mention would be appropriate, but not step-by-step details on how to deal with it. -- Satori Son 15:09, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Okay Fine, I will put a link in the bottom instead. Now I have been blocked by you Satori, please give me acces again so I can post a link to a third party webpage with the contents and a mention of the link. NVM problem solved
Multiple Endings
[edit]Whoever wrote that there are 7 endings is wrong. The article currently cites several examples in which Luther is killed, such as being killed by the Draracle or Dawn. Getting killed is not an "ending", even if it results in a cinematic. If I remember correctly there are only two endings: Good and Bad. Somebody should fix this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.140.44.211 (talk) 01:04, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Lands of Lore II - Guardians of Destiny.PNG
[edit]Image:Lands of Lore II - Guardians of Destiny.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
