Needs to be cleaned up
[edit]Is it just me or do half of the letters on the class descriptions not even english, and why does it say that the warriors defense=suks?I can't even read the rogues description, this needs to be improved.I changed a few things to the article, nothing big, just a few errors,im assuming those letters on the class section are in turkish, since this is an english article it would be great if someone translated it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.235.184.195 (talk) 16:08, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:KOScreenShot.jpg
[edit]Image:KOScreenShot.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

New Server
[edit]I honestly think that they should make a turkish server so that the games not so crowded in other servers because most of the people in the game are Turkish. In Turkey almost every kid between 9-15 who posesses a computer plays the crap. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.228.216.196 (talk) 12:00, 27 July 2008
a good game
[edit]a good game Hi I really like the game. Knight Online is a fully 3D dowloadable MMORPG with a vast world to explore, and a chaotic realm to explore. The Free-To-Play version of Knight Online gives players the opportunity to purchase unavailable in-game scrolls which will greatly help the players in their clan war, player versus player, hunting and levelling up by boosting the players characters in many ways. The scrolls are able to increase attack power, boosting defence rating, increasing maximum hit points etc. The grafics aren't so good but i liked the easy gameplay and the caracteristic of the game has good hints about monsters and its locations. And there is only a thing i dont like the bugs and dificulty to find items for mage and warrior at begin levels. But i give 4 stars. By the way,I believe that many guys will be tired of getting gold by killing monsters, and me too although I love this game very much. So I have to look for some good sites to buy gold. Luckily, I have found one------gkplayer dot com which I think is not a scaming site at least. their service and price are reasonale too.I trust it and I am often buy gold from the site. I think maybe you guys can have a try. It does no bad, I think.Currently they have a 5% free point promotion. After you have tried, you may agree with me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ssapple01 (talk • contribs) 20:33, 13 June 2009
Sorry, but the game is overrun by bots and hackers. Sure, go buy gold from an online site; all you are doing is giving botters and hackers incentive to keep cheating. Mgames and K2 do very little to get the cheating under control, yet routinely have promotions in the power up store (PUS) to lure you into spending real cash. It is suspected by legitimate players that Mgames and/or K2 are behind the cheat programs, hence the lack of security in-game. Besides the enormous amount of cheating, more and more accounts are being hacked; people attempt to log on, only to find out their info has been changed, or they get to log in to find out all their items are gone. They make minor changes which I consider "window dressing" - a change in the pointer, more items in the PUS, etc., but fail to address all the bugs and hacks that are rampant in the game. Since the Forgotten Frontiers update, clan listings have been bugged, some areas disabled, a new security program promised but never delivered; recently, changes to quests have resulted in bugged quests (cannot complete quest, and some you cannot even obtain). Opinion: Don't Waste Your Time On This Game! If you don't pay real money to purchase premium and PUS items, you most likely will not be able to log the main servers to participate in events. Additionally, attempts to complete some quests will leave you frustated due to the botters and hackers that deny you the kills needed (try hunting 50, 200 monsters only to have a macroer 1 hit everything in site!). Go play WoW or Guild Wars; at least they are proactive in keeping cheating at minimum levels. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Matron58 (talk • contribs) 16:48, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Complaint ID: 98420216 Complaint Classification: Complaint Description - Posted 6/10/2009 10:48:55 AM For at least 4 weeks there have been many attempts to receive compliance from K2 networks/Knight online in regards to advertisements on their Official Log out Page in Non US zones. These advertisements link and share source IPs with various websites that sell Illegal virtual Items, characters, ingame money, and cheat programs for Real money. All the things listed above are in direct violation of the Terms of service agreement that all players MUST agree to upon registration for an account. Compliance has been met with denial, misdirection, and avoidance.
Complaint Summary Failure to remove advertisments that are in direct violation of their own terms of service
Resolution Sought Comply with consumer demand to remove any affiliation with services and websites that in any way violate their own TOS.

Company's Response Company's Initial Response - Posted 07/21/2009 Hi Rick. Thanks for your attention to this matter. The "exit" page of Knight Online is a place where we do sell ad space to trusted partners. However, what we experienced was that these partners would suddenly change their ads (by swapping out content from the URLs on their end) to point to services we do not agree with, and are against the Terms of Use. Once we discovered our advertising customers were doing this, we immediately severed the ties between them and ensure all advertisements are checked regularly to ensure this doesn't happen again. Initial Response Summary Explained our temporary issue with the ad space being sold on Knight Online's exist page.
Consumer's Rebuttal Consumer's Rebuttal - Posted 07/23/2009 Multiple sources from the KOL Turkish IP player base have informed me that the ads that link to sites that sell illegal items, characters, ingame currency, and cheat programs are still on the official KOL non US exit page. I am offering a recommendation that advertisments be removed all together to keep a consistancy with the US KOL exit page. And allow only a link that directs to the official KOL site. This act would eliminate much of the confusion by players who do not speak english as a primary language from thinking that these things that are in violation of the KOL TOS are legal since they are represented on an official game page. There are still many honest players that continue to be disheartened by the minimalistic actions presented toward the problem of cheating, that has continued to grow at an alarming rate within the structure of KOL.
Company's Final Response Company's Final Response - Posted 07/24/2009 Hi Rick. I just spoke with our marketing department and have confirmed that we are very selective about what banners are displayed there. Beyond that, we have internal Turkish-speaking resources that are continually checking the sites linked from these banners to ensure no ToS-breaking items are present (such as gold selling, power leveling, or hack tool sales).

As of today, despite statements made by K2 representatives, the illegal sites are still being advertised. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.157.165.152 (talk) 22:48, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Seems biased
[edit]I read most of this page, and i believe that it was written by someone who works for Knight Online. The broken english here seems to be very similar to all the broken english in the game. Also, its constantly praising the game, which is ridiculous. It's one of the worst games i've ever played. Their website barely works, game constantly glitches, is rarely updated, servers are down a lot, and its very bland and boring. They also make you pay to have at least an okay character. Leveling up without one of their paid packages is hard and incredibly repetitive. I think this page should be deleted... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Oxi1337 (talk • contribs) 07:06, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
Update the game requirements with the real ones, added actual game situation
[edit]The information about game requirements on kol official site are all wrong. The game don't even run on a pc with the minumum game requirements on kol official site (good luck making this game run under windows 98/me as it say on the official page). I update with the real game requirements that are enough to make the game run and you can actually play it (i doubt someone can play a game with under 15 fps). I added a couple of information about the game situation. This is more for new players to know what problems they will have there. Better say how they will not enjoy at all cause the vast majority of kol players are cheaters. Not to mention that several times legit player end up banned due to game bugs (apr.sys autobanning legit players, the fail antiwall hack system sending legit player in jail and funny the cheaters that passed the same coordinates were not send to jail...). Lack of customer support, it just fails to answer in the timeframe they say they will answer and if you actually get an answer that answer seams not to be connected with the problem you had. forgot to sign lol.Thedukesd (talk) 08:44, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
- Unless you can back any of this up with a reliable source, none of this info belongs in the article. Eik Corell (talk) 10:08, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
- Ok. I will come with some reliable sources. I will back it up with what someone from KOL staff is saying. Also some movies with some cheaters in action. Also proofs that legit players are banned, they received an answer, then customer support provide them another answer and still fails to answer what character was observed cheating, at what hour. I will even post screenshot showing how you can ask something at customer support and they answer something that has nothing to do with what was asked. Thedukesd (talk) 18:39, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
- None of the above counts as a reliable source... Nikthestoned 08:26, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
- Whatever, you can keep the wrong and misleading information from reliable sources in this article and in several other wiki articles. Wiki is not considered a source of reliable information anyway, and it's not me saying this, just try to use wiki to back up your affirmations and see what happens.
