Music Studio

[edit]

Hey in GHWT and GH:M (and probably GH5), they music studio has custom songs made by neversoft, but now they want some songs made by some band named Ost. Check it out on their site at www.ostofficialsite.synthasite.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.197.13.157 (talk) 21:22, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Can you rephrase that? I have no idea what you're talking about. Zeldafanjtl (talk) 23:49, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Celebrities

[edit]

Does anyone know of any guest characters that are going to be in the game. if there are any leaks or you have any speculations that can be backed up by a reference (even "unreliable" ones) then write them below. I know the current Van Halen members are in it: David, Eddie, Alex, and Wolfgang. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.162.90.143 (talk) 23:53, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Release date

[edit]

the game is out already for the ones who pre-ordened Guitar Hero 5

Yes, but that's just a special promotion. It's not the official release date. (And also, it's anyone who just purchased Guitar Hero 5 in September 2009, not just those who preordered.) Zeldafanjtl (talk) 23:48, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Venue" column?

[edit]

When I click the button to organize by venue, it's in alphabetical order. Can someone please fix this so that it's chronological? Zeldafanjtl (talk) 20:16, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I dont know how but ill ask Masem or research
NTC TNT (talk) 04:55, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Got It, took a while and some investigation.
NTC TNT (talk) 04:55, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks man, you're awesome. Zeldafanjtl (talk) 00:54, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
One question. Is this the venue list for the full band, or a certain instrument? They differ. 68.58.122.110 (talk) 04:27, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
not sure, the songs were already grouped like that when i got to it. the venues are in bass carrer order, songs in alphabetical order, not sure about song groups
NTC TNT (talk) 04:43, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I just checked—that's the order for Guitar career. I'll be looking at the others, and see if I can get a definitive order for Band career. —MarsJenkar (talk | contribs) 03:11, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the venue column should be in the band order. It will probably be close (the opening and ending acts are likely the same). --MASEM (t) 03:20, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Roger. I've just finished assembling the list for band mode and am ready to implement. The one thing I'm not sure about is the separation of The Netherlands and The Early Years, but I'll assume there are five of the former, as is the case for Guitar mode. Whatever the case, it is in the exact career order for band mode. —MarsJenkar (talk | contribs) 03:45, 16 October 2009 (UTC) (Edited 03:52, 16 October 2009 (UTC))[reply]

←OK, the table's updated with band mode listings. —MarsJenkar (talk | contribs) 04:10, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

we could do like the rock band song page and put an order for all of them in differnt columsNTC TNT (talk) 02:47, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It takes up too much space, as you'll have 5 columns for that. --MASEM (t) 02:57, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Amen. Even with my 1680x1050 monitor four more columns would make the table too big. ...BTW, I've checked the full band Career mode, and confirm the current list is correct. —MarsJenkar (talk | contribs) 03:11, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
cool, i understand, NTC TNT (talk) 22:38, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • The gameplay is to small it's a GH game it should have much more
  • Devolpment section is to small, doubt thats all you can find seeing the other GH
  • Change the devolpment to where the gameplay is
  • Put the list of songs in another artical like others no need to be there when you can put it in text
  • Find more reviews.

Hate to say it put it looks very poor and i'm considering to fail it if any comments you have please ask. --Pedro J. the rookie 20:07, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Failed. Not to disencourage when you improve it nominate it again. --Pedro J. the rookie 13:09, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You should give editors more than a day to respond. You closed this way too fast. In addition, all your points are non-addressable:
  1. There's not much different about the gameplay to reiterate every facet of it here.
  2. There is no development information for this game. That's the extent I can find.
  3. Development almost always goes after gameplay in every VG article
  4. Because the song list and the info about this game are so limited, a separate list article is not needed (not every GH game has a separate list)
  5. There are no more reliable source reviews for this game. There's plenty of blogs and the like, but that's not usable here.
This game was treated by the press, and to some extent by Activision, as a bastard child of the series, and basically got no coverage. There is not a lot of info on it, and I can't add more where there isn't anything to add. --MASEM (t) 14:13, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There are adresable look at IGN for reviews, failing this in one day is called quick fail apropriate when an artical is not close to critera and wathing this games continuations you could do much better, and the list of songs is info not needed for example Mario kart and others put there characters in another page. --Pedro J. the rookie 15:12, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have a critical glitch in my game! Well, you know those "sustained notes". When I add on like you would hold down the red, blue, and orange Fret. You "add" a note every millisecond. This game is not very well, as of 3 stars.°·° 32.178.0.253 (talk) 00:12, 25 April 2010 (UTC)GHLover[reply]

GA Review

Reviewer: Subzerosmokerain (talk) 01:41, 7 April 2010 (UTC) First review so I might miss a couple things but here are some technical stuff I found:[reply]

  • Last sentence of first paragraph of intro: "The game is published by Activision Blizzard." tense changes from the rest of the paragraph.
  • second paragraph of intro. paragraph, "...former Van Halen members Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony and Gary Cherone," there was an attempt at an appositive, you need a comma after the word "members"
  • In that same sentence, put a colon after "identified" also separate the parts of the listing with semicolons instead of just commas (I might be wrong on that grammar-wise, that's just how I do it).
  • Personally, I think you need a stronger verb than identified, something along the lines of "criticized" but not as redundant of the verb "criticized".
  • In the development section, you should put in which month the ratings board leaked GH:Van Halen (in a similar way to the other parts of the listing).
  • Also, like my comment above, separate the parts of the listing with semicolons.
  • Ref. the last sentence in the dev. section.
  • In the quote in the gameplay section, put the period inside the quote.
  • Numerous quotes in the reception sentence also need the same attention.
  • Get an accessdate for ref. #15.

Very minor issues but should be attended to. Sincerely Subzerosmokerain (talk) 01:41, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

    • Except for what I point out below, I've hit all the points above.
      • While I fixed the comma list in the dev section, I think the comma approach is better in the lead here over the colon/semi-colon, that's just a matter of taste.
      • Periods only going inside quotes if they are part of the quotes, which is not the case for any of the quotes used on this article (see WP:LQ.
      • There is no further information to expand the dev section. This game was basically shunned like a black sheep by Activision and the rest of the gaming press (see the limited extent of the review section) and thus almost all of the dev material is through third-party reiterations of what happened as opposed to material from studio interviewers or even from band members. --MASEM (t) 13:03, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • One more issue, Destructoid is misspelled in one of the references besides that the only outstanding issue is the size of the dev. section. I'd recommend merging the the dev. and the reception sections since they seem to be the smallest in the articles. However, a quick google search show that CVG and GamePro also have reviews you could add to the article. Sincerely Subzerosmokerain (talk) 17:57, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've nitpicked to no end: all references are in line, prose is acceptable, and no sections have undue weight. Contributing editors have addressed all of my issues. If i've missed anything, i'm sure it'll be picked up in this article's FAC. Consider this passed. Sincerely Subzerosmokerain (talk) 23:37, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
