- There are more of his articles listed in the provided Italian biographical source that could be formatted and added if they're important or the article expands enough that they wouldn't overwhelm the rest of the text.
- This Who's Who for the US occupation says Mariani studied in Berlin and Paris and is the head of the Italian Society of Dermatology. Given the Italian biography omits all three, it seems unlikely to be correct.
