Western localization
[edit]I ask the permission to add section regarding radical difference in Western/English localization of the game, please. Greener Meaner Green Goblin (talk) 16:34, 30 April 2022 (UTC)
- The controversy doesn't seem to be covered by reliable sources. In the section you have written, only Sankaku Complex and Bounding Into Comics covered the "actual" controversy of the game's western localization, but both of them are not considered to be reliable sources. Also, it was WP:UNDUE to have such a large paragraph on controversy that is so peripheral and unimportant. OceanHok (talk) 03:12, 2 May 2022 (UTC)
Administrator Masem accepted as reliable sources (in another article's talk page) and that's enough to me.
Already reported NarkySawtooth user and their behavior to administrator(s). Before reposting back the content I previously posted (that didn't violate rules), I first need to be and feel safe, though having the evidence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Greener Meaner Green Goblin (talk • contribs) 02:57, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
- I am inclined to believe that it is WP:UNDUE to have one big section based on just one source. While I fully respect Masem's opinion, whether a website is considered to be reliable should be discussed by the community as a whole. I would advise against posting the content again in any of the page until there is a clear consensus. Even if Bounding into Comic is ultimately considered to be a reliable source, many of the content you have written is not covered (meaning that they are WP:OR). What you have written is WP:BIASED. Also, the source only quoted Twitter users. The author himself has no opinion. For a section like this one, an opinion article would be much more appropriate. Otherwise, what we can write is "Several twitter users criticised the game for altering the original script", and I don't see much value in having that in the article. OceanHok (talk) 13:52, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
- I am in heavy agreement that the section was mostly original research, and it's also particularly interesting how the section was largely talking about Western localization as if it was some trespass of the West while the source indicated Eastern localization had a similar line.
