The last paragraph in Implementation section sounds a little biased and has a weird tone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.93.197.76 (talk) 02:35, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The image Image:UnrealEd.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

I had an edit reverted and I would like reconsideration. I have copied this discussion from frecklefoots talk page to serve as background. Comments? Anybody care to agree or disagree with either of us? Thanks.

Please reconsider the Undo revision on this page: Game_development_tool

I have been working with the International Game Developer Associations' Indie Game Developer Special Interest Group (SIG) to develop the IndieGameTools.com site as a comprehensive repository of game development tools and information about those tools. I believe directing wikipedia users to this external resource is to their benefit. If you do not agree then please advise me as to what aspects of the site qualify it as just 'spam' so that I can consider making changes to IndieGameTools to come into line with your requirements. Thank you. RobcWiki (talk) 13:28, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

I stand by my revert. If you like, you can bring it up on the talk page and get other editor's input. I don't see how the site is in any way notable. There are hundreds of sites suggesting or promoting game development tools. Though you don't seem to be trying to sell anything, I don't see how your site is in any way authoritative. But, like I said, if you don't want to take my word for it, bring it up on the article's talk page. — Frecklefσσt | Talk 01:00, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

I believe that the IndieGameTools.com is notable in that it is the only resource of its kind that is dedicated to providing information to independant game developers on the wide variety of tools they need to develop better games. There are no sales or affiliations, advertising on the site is supplied through Google and only offsets bandwidth costs, and only a tiny fraction at that. Thanks for your consideration. Robc. Something wonky.........

[edit]

....about this bit: "Almost all game development tools are developed by the developer custom for one game, or by a console manufacturer (such as Nintendo or Microsoft) as part of a game development kit. Though tools may be re-used for later games, they almost always start out as a resource for a single game." --Bddmagic (talk) 19:43, 2 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
