Talk:GameSpy Technology

[edit]- Reasons this article should not be marked for 'speedy deletion':
- GameSpy Technology is a disparate internal business entity from GameSpy.
- GameSpy is a game reviews and games industry commentary site and as such operates in the game media and journalism industry.
- GameSpy Technology is a game software, tools, and technology services provider, with separate employees, a separate reporting and revenue structure, and operating in a separate industry: games middleware technology.
- GameSpy, the reviews site, does not receive nor give special access, information, or preferential treatment to game titles that use GameSpy Technology nor vice versa.
- Lumping together GameSpy Technology with GameSpy is a common misunderstanding about the relationship between the two entities due only to a coincidence of names and the fact that they both arose from a common business entity in the late 90s.
- Compare and contrast this article with similar articles from this industry such as Raknet.
