Talk:Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone
Any good or bad reviews?
[edit]I'm interested in playing it, anyone have an idea where to find a playstation emulator, and perhaps a cracked version of the game? Let me know - I will check back here.

- Adding critical reaction to the article is a good suggestion. Asking where to obtain an illegal copy of the game, however, is unlikely to make you any friends. I'd suggest finding a website dedicated to such things. 68.14.76.151 16:19, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
- Because the "Reactions" section contained one non-sited "reaction" statement and then an analysis of the similarities to the LOTR games, I changed the section heading to "Similarities to Other Video Games." There is still a need for a cited section of critical reaction.Reginaraab 17:26, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
Proposed Move
[edit]I'd suggest we move this page to simply be called Demon Stone; Atari marketed it under this name. Coll7 03:24, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- I second this suggestion. http://www.atari.com/us/games/demonstone/playstation2 As well, Baldur's Gate isn't called Forgotten Realms: Baldur's Gate, and the Forgotten Realms logo appears in the same position with the same prominence on the box art in both titles. Ditto Neverwinter Nights and Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor. The article itself could also use some cleaning up, specifically the "Gameplay" and "Reactions" sections. 68.14.76.151 16:19, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
- I agree. Also, it says it was released on many consoles. Was it many, or just 2 and PC? I just bought this game, maybe I'll work on the article when I go thorugh it a little. --ScarletSpiderDave 01:32, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
- I did a copy edit of the entire article and also changed "many" to "various". However, I was unable to verify the PC release or releases on other console systems.Reginaraab 17:21, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit]The cover of my game is extremely different to the one shown on the page, instead it shows half of Zhai in red lines, my friends all have the cover on the page but I have this different one, any thoughts?84.92.16.13 (talk) 10:53, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
On "Similarities to other video games"
[edit]In that section of the article it states: "The development team which created Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone also made the Lord of the Rings video games. There are quite a few similar moves and the combat is almost the same. However, this game allows control of three different characters, as opposed to one character in the Lord of the Rings games. And where some of the Lord of the Rings games offered co-operative play, Demon Stone is single-player only."
Please note that Stormfront Studios made "a" Lord of the Rings game, not "the" or "the only" LotR games. In 35+ years of video game history, you can imagine how many LotR games there must have been. I could list at least a dozen and I'll bet there are a dozen more. Also, Stormfront made one LotR game, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, not many. 50.54.237.170 (talk)
