Monetization model

[edit]

Interesting article. It doesn't cover how exactly the game was monetized, though. Was it truly free-to-play, have this from the goodness of our hearts, with no way to spend money at all? Call it just a "free" game then, since "free-to-play" usually implies "well, somewhat free". The Kotaku reference features a quote of "In terms of setting IAP, nothing has been set in stone yet", but that was pre-release. Did they figure something out by release time? Seems like it was released with in app purchases, not sure what they were yet. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 22:14, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:

Development

  • 'Titles' > 'Title's'

Reception

  • Game critics is a bit redundant since every critic cited is a game critic.
  • Kyle Hilliard's first comment is how fans would react to this, so "further" feels like it doesn't quite make sense.
  • May be good to change the quotation of "uh, what?" to say instead that people reacted with confusion.
  • Given that the other sources say "person of website" it may be worthwhile to say "AppGet staff" for consistency.

Sources

  • Can you attach a source verifying that the game takes place in Midgar?
  • Can you attach a source verifying Tifa's role?

Images

  • Fair use rationales should have explanations for why it's not replaceable with free media or how it respects commercial opportunities.
  • Not necessary for GA, but consider alt text to describe the images.
Ok @Abryn:, I did the copy editing as requested, good fixes. I changed the “titles” I think you were referring to, and I placed the reference that describes how the game takes place in Midgar in the sentence next to it. This Japanese source https://game.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/667842.html discusses her appearance where she helps Cloud in the game, though she is not a playable character. I also improved the fair use rationale as you asked. So that should do it for GA status unless there is something else or I missed something! By the way, what is alt text? Alt text is just, you add |alt= followed by text describing what the image shows. - Bryn (talk) (contributions) 19:11, 5 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
