Progress/Cancellation of the Game
[edit]The March 6th 2008 [1] article supposedly confirming the progress of the crystal bearers was in fact a translation of a page from the japanese website dating back to June 6 2007 [2]. So this link does not serve the function it was provided for, which is to show that the game's development was still progressing smoothly. Besides, the newer Square Enix press release [3] makes the link essentially unnecessary. The game is definitely not canceled, although I think Square Enix is focusing development on other games. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dragonjimmyy2k (talk • contribs) 02:04, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
- Also, I'm a little confused on citing sources. Should we cite Kotaku [4] since they are more generally accepted as a trustworthy source, or should we cite GoNintendo.com as the original source of the information (as cited in the Kotaku article) even though it has less of a reputation?

"Safe Assumptions"
[edit]Whereas the game will almost undoubtedly use the Wii's special controller, the previous FFCC game for the gamecube utalised the GBA as its multiplayer controller. I would therefore consider it an equally valid assumption that Multiplayer on this version would use the DS' WiFi connectivity.
- Clearly you haven't seen the new trailer. Also the main complaint with the original, and turn off, was the requirement of 2-4 GBAs and link cables.--Unknownsage13 21:20, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- Right but now, with the DS able to wireless sync with the Wii that problem could be avoided. Plus, nowhere in the trailers did it show anything that suggested Wii Remote compatibility. It's only an assumption because it's a Wii game.NinjaRooster 03:23, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- It's certainly a possibility, but not a "safe assumption" Kaneda435 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.90.248.240 (talk) 23:30, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Launch Game
[edit]Is there any evidence at all that this will be a launch game? That link next to it just goes to a page talkng about the game, but has no mention of the release date. From what i've heard the game will not make it out in time for the launch. TJ Spyke 21:48, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
I fixed the link. It now redirects to the IGN article that clearly states that The Crystal Bearers is a launch title for the Wii. I hope that helps.:) TranscendentWarrior 20:19, June 11, 2006
- Which link did you change, was it the one in the External Links? It's hard to say since that edit was done by an anon IP, but I'm guessing it was. It was unnecessary, since it pointed to a link already given as a reference. -- VederJuda 01:44, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
- Clearly FFCC: CB is infact, NOT a launch title, considering its been months since the Wii was launched here (In the UK) and the game doesnt even have Box Art yet. Sye 10:11, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- Did you see that it's June 06? wii launched November 06 xD.--Hitamaru 19:59, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Release Date?
[edit]Have there been any updates anywhere on a release date even for Japan? Adzma 06:54, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

- Release Date added for Japan, North America and Europe from IGN. com --Travissarandos (talk) 04:48, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- IGN says that it's out in Japan already. I haven't seen anything of it yet, not even a video outside of that small E3 clip... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.227.118.188 (talk) 02:24, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- The Dec 31, 2007 date? It's a placeholder, the game isn't out yet. -- VederJuda (talk) 02:32, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Screen Shots?
[edit]Is there any screen shots for this game?--TheGreenLink 18:11, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, let's get an image on this article. It's already been released in Japan, so there should at least be box art by now. I think it would be helpful to illustrate the mentioned "mature" design and "world weary" "rugged" protagonist. Dansiman (talk|Contribs) 15:13, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- The game hasn't been released in Japan yet. You must be thinking of Ring of Fates. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.98.136.107 (talk) 02:13, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- At the time I posted, the game's JP release date was in the past. I guess it's been updated since. Dansiman (talk|Contribs) 08:14, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
online?
[edit]Does anyone know if this game will be online? --TheGreenLink 17:43, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
Game's Announcement
[edit]"As of February 2008 and since the game's announcement in August 2007, no additional information has been published."
The game was announced with a teaser at E3 2006 on May 9th, 2006.[5] In addition the latest trailer for the game was released last May[6], so I don't know where "August" comes from. Someone should change this to reflect this. --Andrex (talk) 04:16, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
