Talk:F-22 (series)
Realistic?
[edit]It was released on May 25, 1999 and, for the time, displayed very realistic graphics and realistic physics of flying a plane. The makers gained legitimacy by Lockheed Martin sanctioning their product, the actual makers of the real-life F-22
The fact is that compared to other mil flight sims of the era it's physics was awful. They stated that they had the 'sign of approval' from Lockheed Martin, but they still named it 'F-22 Lightning', instead of the correct 'Raptor'.
If you take this 'simulator', and stomp on the rudder bar, it will turn like a well behaved lorry. No roll, no side slip, it's running on rails.
No matter what speed, height, angle of attack or load, it turns like a truck, even when standing still at the ground. Hdw 20:00, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Game Cover.jpg
[edit]Image:Game Cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Article Moved
[edit]This article was moved from F-22 Lightning 3 to F-22 Lightning based on a request for the creation of F-22 Lightning 2, whereupon it was decided a series article would be better than two individual articles. Sources brought up that would be good for expanding the article; [1][2][3] Nifboy (talk) 22:36, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
