DH winners
[edit]There is alot of errors in DHS 2012 winners. There was a separate tourney going on which had been going for a while with finals at dreamhack called Esport-SM which was only for Swedish competitors. In starcraft this competition is referenced as the official DH tourney which is wrong. This also applies to FIFA and Street Fighter but not Counter Strike since the right tourney is referenced to there. If Esport-SM should be mentioned at all it should have a separate table (dreamhack hosts esport-sm in collaboration with the swedish internet café Inferno Online).
This page got most of the proper brackets from DHS 2012 http://dreamhack.binarybeast.com/ I'll try to add some and add it to refrences but as it is with the internet this page will probably be gone in some time.
Also the tables look really bad. For some reason Raphas name was followed by his clan in DHW11 while no other players had it and it looked really bad so i removed it for now. If someone who knows how to make nice tables on wikipedia could make it look better I would gladly fill in the facts properly afterwards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sebraut (talk • contribs) 00:56, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
Okey guys I decided to go radical and remove FIFA and Street fighter esport-sm winners from the DHS12 winners bracket since they don't fit there. They didn't win any official dreamhack tourney. Also Bloodline Champions was not an official DHS12 game but a partner game. I would like to question if it should be in the list aswell. Source for all this can be found here: http://www.dreamhack.se/dhs12/esport/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sebraut (talk • contribs) 01:26, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
Third times a charm. I want to inform two things i figured. 1. Most games did not run a bronze match. Only quake live did that for sure (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96yB2prEfM4 not even a proper source). 2. Flags are wrong for atleast the LoL teams. I made sure they are correct for starcraft 2 and quake live but the others I don't know. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sebraut (talk • contribs) 01:35, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
Big rewrite
[edit]I noticed that most of the facts were from 2007 and earlier so, after having read the below comments, I took the time to do a major update to the page, adding new facts, citations, clarifications, reformulations and so on. And a nice table of statistics, instead of presenting it all in a long text like before. The page is now much more comprehensive than before. As such, I removed the "needs update" and "needs rewrite" flags. I also raised the article quality to "B" since it is, and raised the article importance to "high" since this is the worlds primary event of its kind. --NQue (talk) 03:43, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
New photos
[edit]Perhaps it would be good if we had a newer picture of Dreamhack. I can take one myself during Dreamhack Summer '07. 194.68.104.18 11:37, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- That would be great, go ahead. --KOJV 22:08, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Rewrite note
[edit]This article is an absolute mess. The history section should probably be rewritten extensively. - 80.202.208.11 17:57, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- And why is that? Please be more specific. --KOJV 01:00, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
DreamHack history
[edit]Since you guys just can't accept the structure of the historical section, I've removed most of the text. It can be found at the KOJV.NET wiki instead, which I hope you don't mind me linking to.
For those unaware, the history section was a bit informally written and mostly based on original research, which is not accepted within the Wikipedia community and has caused people to add quite a lot of "this article may be improved" banners to the article.

Grammar
[edit]is expression 'twice anually' correct? 'anually' means once a year. therefore, i believe it should be changed to 'twice a year' or 'every half a year', or if the event is regular maybe 'once every six months'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.34.211.41 (talk) 11:00, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- While you're at it, what about 'biannual' further down in the article? --Bamsefar75 (talk) 20:59, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of DreamHack's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
