[edit]A note about my reversion of the anonymous edit of 28 June 2006:
I can't prove that the edit in question was copied and pasted from an inappropriate source, but it certainly looked to me like that's what it was, and it seemed unwise to take chances. In any case, replacing an entire article with a mass of unformatted text is poor etiquette, and shouldn't be encouraged.
If anyone thinks I did the wrong thing, feel free to say so. (Remember that, as always, the edit is preserved in the article history, and can be easily restored if appropriate.) --Paul A 02:54, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
I restored most of the anonymous edit, especially since: a.) I was unable to find any source on the internet which it could have been copied from (the only source that has the same text appeared several days after(!) the edit) b.) It had some errors in style and grammar (and whatnot) which I don't believe would've been there had it been copy/pasted from a book or a newspaper article.
I have also re-written parts of the text and re-edited the article, so as to give it some structure. Following these corrections, I have changed the class from "stub" to "B". Which I think is fair.

"However, they soon proved to be one of the most talented new-wave pop acts." Anyone care to substantiate this grand claim?
Article needs major rewrite for tone
[edit]From the first paragraph:
- They started out as complete amateurs (rumour has it that they first got involved into the music business as the then girlfriends of The Damned members). However, they soon proved to be one of the most talented new-wave pop acts. Although they had their taste of Top 40 success as the backing vocals for the Captain Sensible's hit "Wot", as a band they remained neglected by the media and the general public alike. [italics mine]
- Wikipedia is not a rumour-mill. Wikipedia is not a forum to advocate a point of view (e.g., "one of the most talented new-wave pop acts".) Wikipedia is not a fan site. This article violates all three principles. Please read WP:NOT to further familiarize yourself with what Wikipedia is not. From WP:NOT: "When you wonder what should or should not be in an article, ask yourself what a reader would expect to find under the same heading in an encyclopedia." Wot vs. Happy Talk
[edit]I'm entering information about their involvement on the Captain Sensible single "Happy Talk" - which they certainly did sing on - and wondering about "Wot". Is there substantiation that they performed on this single? I just don't know but will leave it intact in the absence of any information to the contrary.Rwintle (talk) 15:28, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Name
[edit]I remember them (being called after the sweets of the same name) as The Dolly Mixtures.
Intro
[edit]I've changed the intro to show Rachel Bor as guitarist and vocalist since she shared lead duties with Debsey. I’d also like to do some more edits on the page – I think a separate section on their work with Captain Sensible would be good. In addition to Say Wot and Happy Talk they also preformed with CS on Glad it’s All Over. Tigerman2005 (talk) 23:50, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
Need help with Discography boxes
[edit]I've added information about several of the releases to the Discography boxes, but these additions create new columns and bring up a couple of issues: 1) the titles for the EPs box and the Other releases box don't align with the other two boxes now, and 2) the info in the new column of the Other releases box is centered, and it should probably be left-aligned. Some help would be appreciated. Thanks. -- Pete Best Beatles (talk) 20:22, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
