Both fine.

Meteorological history

"...to the northeast of the Northern Cook Island: Manihiki." "...to Manhiki, in the northeastern Cook Islands." This is more suitable for a reader unfamiliar with the region.

I personally prefer the current wording as its a lot easier to understand and more factually correct since Manhiki is more in the Central Northern Cook Islands.Jason Rees (talk) 22:58, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
