[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here) --Ztokdo (talk) 01:28, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
I didn't find any other page about the game and tried to keep the page consistent with the terms used in the reviews from other places such as metacritic and IGN. My goal here was to describe the game in a way that made sense similar to other games on the internet such as borderlands, not my own verbage but from professional critics. Its not meant to be promotional, but rather a combined set of sites I found while googling the game. What can i change to match the guidelines?
Note to Admins
[edit]I nominated this page for speedy, because it seemed to be written as an advert, however, the article creator contacted me on my talk page an expressed concern for losing their work. If you agree that this should be speedily deleted as an advert, could you move this article to the user's sandbox so they can continue to improve until it is ready to move into the article namespace? Otherwise if the speedy delete is declined, it is not an issue, as the creator has shown good-faith efforts to improve the article and may just need some help. I still have some concerns about the notability and also the reliability of the sources as they are mostly WP:SPS or non-reliable, but it may have an opportunity to be improved. -War wizard90 (talk) 02:41, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
Further note to Admin and to potential writers
[edit]I just want to chip in that none of us at Coilworks, as the developer of the game that this article covers, had any clue about this article until just now, so it's in no way meant as marketing, at least not on our initiative.
I just recently found this article through a random twitter bot.
I agree that there are definitely room for improvements, but as a developer of the game, I don't think I'm fit to actually write or edit this page in any way, but if there is anything I can do to proved material that can be referenced or anything along those lines, I would be happy to help out, if possible.
I love Wikipedia and all the good information available, and personally I would love to see a page about Cloudbuilt, but I would of course want it to be up to the standards that I've come to expect from Wikipedia articles. That being said though, it would not be that strange to me if it took a little time and iteration to write something living up to that standard? Thought, I don't know how these things are normally handled.
I just registered this account, and I have read the guides before posting, but please let me know if I misunderstood something/made any mistakes. I'm not yet familiar with how one should handle these things.
As a starter, it might be possible to find some interesting info about the games history/development by checking out old indieDB posts, and it might be worth mentioning that the game is based on a previous project that is currently on and indefinite hold, and that it took us over 3 years to develop. It should also be possible to find info about the engine we built, for the game and so on.
Concerning the art style, we have been asked questions about that in numerous interviews that might be possible to reference if anyone wants too mention anything about it's origins and inspiration, which might be interesting as it's one of the most common questions we have gotten about the game (what seem to catch peoples interest? And then potentially something they might seek to find info about?).
