Carol Miller → Carol Miller (disambiguation) – It's literally just a disambiguation page. Cpotisch (talk) 00:17, 6 January 2023 (UTC) This is a contested technical request (permalink). – robertsky (talk) 13:39, 8 January 2023 (UTC)

- @Cpotisch: I believe this is correct as-is per WP:NOPRIMARY. VQuakr (talk) 00:22, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
- Carol Miller the politician is much more notable than the other ones, so I don't think that policy applies. Cpotisch (talk) 00:24, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Cpotisch: Pageviews show there is in fact no primary topic as the politician and the DJ get similar numbers of monthly views. So the move is not controversial and unlikely to succeed. Lennart97 (talk) 00:44, 6 January 2023 (UTC)

- Oppose per WP:DABNAME which in a nutshell states the disambiguation page's title is correct as is since there is no primary topic currently established. (Pinging Cpotisch regarding WP:DABNAME since I'm assuming they are not aware of this guideline; if you wish to claim there is a primary topic, please start a full WP:RM discussion as such discussions are never "technical".) - @Robertsky: This request probably should have just been straight denied per my comment. This request as currently presented is a blatant WP:DABNAME violation, and the requester did not make it abundantly clear how to get around this issue. Possibly, this could be a multi-move request (probably moving Carol Miller (politician) to Carol Miller, but that is not in this move request.) Steel1943 (talk) 00:56, 9 January 2023 (UTC)

- https://wikinav.toolforge.org/?language=en&title=Carol_Miller indicates the politician is most commonly clicked, but the DJ seems to be commonly clicked as well, and there's a long tail of clicks to other links, so the ratio of outgoing traffic is 32 : 13 : 13, which doesn't really sound like primary topic material. With overall low traffic, and a pretty straightforward, short list, I wouldn't short-circuit navigation. --Joy (talk) 14:58, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
- Weak oppose the politician may be primary with 3,529 views compared with 1,923[[1]] for the DJ but otherwise per WP:DABNAME and WP:MALPLACED we don't put "(disambiguation)" in DAB pages with no primary topic. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:57, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose, no PRIMARY.--Ortizesp (talk) 19:20, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- Leaning oppose per the above. A 2019 spike in views for the politician appears to be an outlier. BD2412 T 20:14, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:NOPRIMARY. VQuakr (talk) 21:14, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. No primary topic here. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:03, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose per all the above votes. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 02:32, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
