Fair use rationale for Image:Brianreynolds.jpg
[edit]Image:Brianreynolds.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Information on sons scary?
[edit]An anon user deleted information about Reynold's sons (he has two, it mentioned the year they were born and that they like playing World of Warcraft). While I think such information isn't particularly important, I think it is harmless. But the anon user says it is "scary" to include such information, even though Reynolds offered it himself in an interview. Including the boy's school schedule, layout of the house with directions to their bedrooms or mental conditions would be "scary," how can such innocuous information that was presented be deemed such? I think it should be restored. It's innocent and harmless. Anyone else? — Frecklefσσt | Talk 18:57, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Poor disambiguation title
[edit]Name of article was recently disambiguated from "Brian Reynolds" to "Brian Reynolds (strategy game designer)".
Two issues: (1) "strategy game designer" is not really the most appropriate tag for an individual who has designed many different types of game not just "strategy" and is most recently involved in facebook games and role-playing games. Suggest "Videogame designer" or "videogame designer and social game designer". (2) disambiguation was created by a user to promote a different Brian Reynolds as the creator of a band Creation's Tears, the page for which was also created by the same user and which was subsequently deleted. Is it even appropriate to disambiguate?
I don't know how to move/rename a page and definitely too noob to try. Perhaps someone more experienced will look into this? 68.34.0.181 (talk) 16:57, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
- I'd recommend Brian Reynolds (videogame designer) or even just Brian Reynolds (game designer). If there are no objections, I'll go ahead and accomplish the move. --Elonka 18:13, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
- I'd be good with 'game designer', but videogame designer works too. The 'strategy' addition is unneeded. Syrthiss (talk) 13:11, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
- I went ahead and moved to Brian Reynolds (game designer). I'll also remove the disambig note, since to my knowledge there's no ambiguity, as there are no other articles about game designers named "Brian Reynolds". --Elonka 17:31, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

PDP-11 mainframe computer?
[edit]As far as I know the PDP-11 is a minicomputer, not a mainframe. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.126.161.244 (talk) 21:40, 28 February 2020 (UTC)
Erroneous- Not President of Firaxis
[edit]This article is incorrect. Brian Reynolds did not return to Firaxis and is not the president of the company. The source cited for that assertion does not even claim that information. Brian is retired. 67.199.182.166 (talk) 18:51, 19 February 2023 (UTC)
