Other appearances -> usuless topic

[edit]

This section should not be implemented since the other appearances are not of the game but of the main character. If someone wants to talk about the main character "upa", or his sister, or other games or whatever, then this person has to make another article. This page is only about the game "bio miracle boutte upa" and NOT about Upa itself. Bragador 01:05, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Making an Upa page would be a waste, it would only end up being merged with this article. The Wai Wai World 2 mention is very necessary since not only Upa appears in it, but two stages based on Bio Miracle Bokette Upa. And the small mention of Upa (w/ Rupa) in the 2 Parodius games isn't going to hurt anything being mentioned on this page. Upa is a part of this game, and mentioning something from this game being in another doesn't make it out of place.Buzda 02:37, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree, this is not how an encyclopedia works. FOr exemple, you will not see a Mario section in the article on Super Mario 64. If somebody want information on Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa, they are not interested in other games that may have had the same hero in them. What you could do though is make a wai wai world 2 page and mention that the character Upa is from Bio Miracle BOkutte Upa. Or just make an article on Upa. If you really think it would be pointless then it means the information is pointless and not that important. Also since Upa appears in all of these games, you section "other appearances" could be on these pages too since your information is not directly linked to the game, but to the character. I had an idea... you could make a section if it wasn't about the character "Upa". The thing is, this article is really about the game itself, not the characters. But if you create a section on spin offs and sequels, then that could be acceptable. Bragador 17:11, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Flags in front of release dates

[edit]

Ok so we need to find a code to fix the problem (text is going on the next line). either we A) Find a code B) Remove the flags since the infobox consensus is NOT to put flags anyway (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infobox#Computer_and_video_games ) C)Change the drawing of the flag so it includes a black border Bragador 19:33, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It has been fixed Bragador 21:21, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia section

[edit]

I don't really like that section. The information is good though but wikipedians are discouraged from using "trivias" since this is an encyclopedia. I sugget we either change it to "music" and put a detailed section on the music of the game... or we simply add the information in the "game description" section Bragador 21:23, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I generally just use trivia for small factoids, which we dont have an established section. Theres trivia in a lot of gaming articles. Technically this game itself is trivial for most north american gamers. --Larsinio 21:29, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I know, I'm not "against" the section. Like I said it's discouraged but not illegal. It's just that the information could easily be inserted in the "game information" section in my humble opinion but if you REALLY REAAAAAALLY want a trivia section I'm not going to oppose that... but add other trivia bits because it looks a bit weird hehe Bragador 21:38, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Comparisons with other games

[edit]

I removed the graphical comparisons simply because the readers can see a picture from the game and make their own judgment. Saying it was akin to the graphics of kirby ans super mario bros was a subjective judgment which should not be included in an encyclopedia. Also the reference to doki doki panic health system, though accurate, was simply not useful to help the reader understand the principle. Also note that other games used the same system which makes the comparison less useful (especially since doki doki panic is an obscure game) Bragador 21:34, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What does the game's title translate to?

[edit]

Any idea? Buzda 20:10, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think its "Bio Miracle Baby Upa" --Larsinio 20:26, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It is indeed Bio Miracle Baby Upa Bragador 23:20, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I figured that much. I guess "Bio Miracle" means "Bio Miracle". I guess that just sounds crappy translated to English. Buzda 21:06, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Japanese think english words are "cool" and "exotic" so they like to use them a lot. Also, they have been know to name many tv shows and video games using tons of adjectives. So forthem, Bio miracle sounds "cool". Of course you probably know that "bio miracle" is used has "biological miracle". I'm saying that just in case... Bragador 23:28, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We should change the title screen pic...

[edit]

And use the one from the original FDS release. Buzda 23:40, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree, using the most recent version shows it was released on both dates. In this way, I feel it is better. Bragador 03:34, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
