What nationality is he?

[edit]

The opening says he works for Nintendo of America, but that doesn't mean anything, and the infobox states he is American, but without a source, and it's possible someone just wrote "American" as a placeholder/assumption.

I ask because, if we are not going to say he grew up and got his bachelor degree, then saying he did a "year overseas" at Aoyama Gakuin sounds pretty ridiculous. The current wording just says "high school" and "college"!

Also, when was he born? He was the only credited translator on Majora's Mask, implying that he was either a deeply-respected, high-ranking employee who was entrusted with the sole responsibility of translating a major game, or he was the coordinator of a committee of translators. Either option would likely mean he was at least in his mid-30s in 2000, but that kind of speculation is of course not allowed in the article.

Cheers!

If you consider Ninty Directs as a credible source, his birthday (minus the year) is August 21st. As for nationality, there's a noted source in the article where it's implied he's from the States.
The time he would have been translating Majora's Mask would have been after he started translating for Miyamoto, so they likely left him to translate it alone due to that. Going from an article already cited again, he does note he had to miss an E3 due to translating the game, so it's more likely he did it solo (and didn't coordinate a group). ハローリンク-Hello Link- 21:32, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Does anybody know Bill Trinen's birth year? So far I've concluded that Trinen's birthday is on August 21.[1][2] --108.45.29.72 (talk) 04:52, 20 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wife’s Name

[edit]

Is his wife’s name actually Isabelle or did people put it there in reference to the Animal Crossing trailer as a meme. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.216.120.51 (talk) 23:11, 28 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
